He's a great player, but people in this country have this illusion that English players don't dive, and only foreigners do.
The reality is there are players all over the world who dive. And there are those also all around the world who don't dive, I don't think I've ever seen Lionel Messi take a simulated tumble... And people hack at his ankles all game long.

English players do dive sometimes. The problem is the mentality (read :mentally challenged) of the British press saying they don't. Saint Stevie G can never be called a diver. People hack at Messi's ankles because the lesser teams like Sevilla (who did it a lot of the Ramon Sanchez last season) know they can't stop him any other way.

losing 1-0 first half and Rooney had a rant on the camera saying how can you boo your own fans...
Gerrard scored two of the best England Goals I've ever seen...
And as for that dive... he would have scored his 2nd goal of the game anyway

I never said he wasn't a great player, quite the opposite.

He's scored in every Final... Super cup.. Champions League Final.. F.a cup.. League cup Final & uefa cup final
And some people say he isn't a big game player.
The Goal in that Video on the 1.34 is amazing don't show it from it's best angle though.

No I didn't mean you... I mean some people I know personally says that he goes missing in big games...
Yet he scored two goals at old trafford just this season gone... He scored against every big team in the Prem.
Yeah the England thing is, to me, Hes always the one that gets thrown about... He played Left wing in the world cup...
He plays deep when Lampard plays... I even remember when Sven gave him the number 9 shirt and stuck him upfront :eek

He's a big game player alright and has rescued Liverpool a number of times. He's not in Iniesta and Xavi's league (but then who is?) but that doesn't necessarily make him a bad player because he clearly isn't' I'd also rank him ahead of Lampard as a better all round player.
He wasn't a bad trequiasta though, back when Rafa was at Liverpool he used to play just behind Torres and that was a fearsome partnership.
He's a littler older now and maybe sitting deeper suits him better, he can play anywhere though, because he is a very good all rounder.
Without Him Liverpool have been a average side... I mean similar to stoke sunderland villa ect...
Hoping Suarez and Gerrard can form a similar link to that of with Torres (i hate writing his name :mad )

Suarez plays a little deeper than Torres from what I've seen, drifts wider as well etc... I have no idea what Dalglish is planning though, he has a lot of central midfielders in his employ now. Be interesting to see how he fits Lucas, Gerrard, Mereiles, and Henderson in the same team. Especially if you remember he still has Aquilani and Cole too, since nobody seems to want them.
Hopefully going like Barca with no wingers
No, I don't know... I know Spearing played a lot last season so Henderson will take his place
maybe with Gerrard and Mereiles in midfield and Kuyt Suarez and Carroll upfront
