Yeah but nobody likes Chelsea, they're like that cousin who turns up now and again who you want to punch. Let's hope they get someone like Barcelona or Real Madrid and get absolutely pulverised.

It's sad that Chelsea showed more commitment tonight than they did in the whole reign of AVB. Really sad. It's also amusing how Di Matteo thinks he runs the team.

Chelsea sneak through 4-1 on aggregate, Napoli with better finishing may have made it through, but Chelsea scored more, cheated a hell of a lot at times, especially Drogba. Let's hope a better side knocks them out in the quarters, dirty scruffy chavvy rentie cunts.Real Madrid comfortable swept aside CSKA 4-1, Benzema, Higuain and a Ronaldo double saw to that.

thursday night, channel 5 and jealousy springs to mind;)

Not really, I accept we weren't good enough to get past the group stage. It's well known that Chelsea are a despicable football club who employ known racists and cheats. It's a better thing for the game of football if Chelsea go out in the next round. I'd say it'd be good for Chelsea so they could focus on a Title challenge, but then I remembered they're shit and don't have one.

Drogba is a clever player. To be fair, there's a difference between a Luis Suarez dive, where you go over deliberately to cheat a free kick or penalty; and a Drogba over reaction to genuine fouls. If referee's actually blew the whistle for players shirt pulling, tugging and flailing their hands about, then players like Drogba wouldn't need to roll about on the ground.

It was a great game in the end, very exciting.

I've heard biased commentary before but ITV was shocking last night. It's not so much the support they give the English clubs, that I can sort of understand, but it went way over the top. Example being Tyldsley when the penalty was awarded, the referee nearly heard him appeal he was that loud, and Townsend (who is a knob anyway) blatantly cheered like a fan when Ivanovic scored the winner. I thought I'd accidentally subscribed to Chelsea TV at one point.

San Mames tonight for us drool (1).gif, hopefully it's the end of us in this tinpot tournament. But yeah, San Mames drool (1).gif, I love that ground. It's a shame it's being knocked down soon.

Finally, the torture is over. Bilbao deserved to get through, they were much the better side throughout the first leg and would be a very welcome addition to next season's Champions League with good attacking football, and even applauded Ryan Giggs off, which was very classy. Hopefully City get through against Sporting Lisbon here so their European adventure continues. Sporting aren't good enough to hold on to 1-0...are they?

I think they wanted to do better in it, teams with little to no European experience in terms of winning stuff usually do. But they just left themselves too much to do. Hart nearly scored which amused me given he's an arrogant prick.

Champions League draw

#1 APOEL vs Real Madrid
#2 Marseille vs Bayern Munich
#3 Benfica vs Chelsea
#4 AC Milan vs Barcelona

The semi final draw will be

#2 will meet the winners of #1
#3 will meet the winners of #4

So if the favourites advance, we should see Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid, and Chelsea vs Barcelona. It could be an El Clasico final.

I'd want to see an upset but I doubt it, but if it did happen then you could imagine Mourinho being sacked at the end of the season and Apoel's fans savouring every moment.

Wolves are capitulating. 5-0 to Man U.

I find it hard not to imagine how this same team a month ago would have put up a much stronger fight at Molineaux.

If Wolves go down it's evident why given their marking in this game. Hopeless isn't the word. They're finally showing a little bit of fight....at 0-5. Bless them.

Zubar was idiotic, you don't dive in like he did when you're on a yellow.

We've put the foot off the gas for now. If chances come they come, but 5-0 is good enough. The third time this season we've scored five away from home.
