This is the "cat's" latest tweet. "For those asking, my favourite player is Tabby Alonso, rumour has it he grew his beard because he was jealous of my fur"

Rangers are going into administration. I can hardly believe it. Rangers are a big club with a huge fanbase that participates in European football regularly, and a stadium bigger than Stadium of Light and Anfield. I can't imagine the sort of financial mismanagement that must have gone on.

i read about that, seems some choices were made by the newish owner (Whyte?) when he bought in he inherited some debts and he seems to have made decisons that brought this about - will admit i dont fully understand the issue but nevertheless one of Europes biggest clubs should not be in this position

Apparently they were using some sort of legal loophole to avoid certain taxes. The obvious problem this presents is you're not paying those taxes so financially not everything is presented. As much as I'd feel sorry it's really a case of them basing their financial model on the English model, which because they don't have as much income coming in it becomes at some point (like right now for example) makes it financially unmanageable.

At the moment they're going to have 10 points deducted (which puts them like 14 behind Celtic, so that's the title to Celtic) but it could get worse. I'm not sure they'd go out of business but the administrators will go in and try and cut every cost they can.

Watched Bayer Leverkusen vs Barcelona in the Champions league. The first half was a training session for Barcelona, got 78% possession and ended it 1-0 through Alexis. Leverkusen played better in the second half but Barca were far too good for them, but it was Leverkusen who equalised before Alexis put Barca back in front. With time running out Barca got a third through Messi and that pretty much makes the second leg academic.

Arsenal just got absolutely destroyed by Milan 4-0. Milan put on a footballing masterclass in the first half with a stunning volley from Kevin Prince Boateng and a Robinho header, Arsenal improved in the second but Milan made it 3-0 through Robinho. Arsenal then nearly got one back when Van Persie's shot got tipped wide, but then Milan got a slightly generous penalty which Ibrahimovic put away.

But Milan were 4-0 better than Arsenal tonight, they were unbelievably good in stages. That'll be that for Arsenal then.

i'm totally disappointed with Arsenal, I expected a more agressive team, but there were no midfielders.
MIlan it's a team that plays football very slow, even walking some stages of the match, because of its player's age. But they are old dogs, and they know the rythmn of the match.
The final score is fair, sorry about Arsenal.

I predicted a narrow Milan win, I was expecting them to come out of the blocks quicker (which they did) but then Arsenal to come back into it. Never happened. Van Persie struggled, Walcott was as visible as a Tolstoy work in a kids library, Henry didn't quite have the dream impact Arsenal fans may have expected. Oxlade-Chamberlain tried but he should have started. But this is all to take away from Milan, they were just far, far too good tongiht, especially Ibrah, when he plays like that he's nigh-on unstoppable.

That's as toothless an Arsenal performance that I have seen in years. We know we're vulnerable at the back, but going forward there was nothing. Van Persie had a couple of half chances that he did ok on, but apart from that... Ramsey just isn't quite there. He's a good back up, but the sooner Wilshere is back, the better.

Can't see Arsenal coming back from this but if Fulham can come-back against Juventus and Spurs can beat BOTH Milan teams (I'd count the drawn come-back in the group-stage as a win on grounds of sheer awesomeness) then I don't see why Arsenal can get a victory.

Totally different cases, Fulham were 3-1 down from the first leg, went 1-0 down early in the second and then won 4-1 on the night. Spurs lost 4-3 to Inter so they didn't exactly come back. Yeah they won the second game. I'd say they beat a worse Milan side this time last year than what was on that pitch last night. If there's going to be a comparison then Real Madrid 4-0 Tottenham should spring to mind. Arsenal just need to try and recover some pride and win on the night, but I certainly don't see them winning 5-0, I don't even see them keeping a clean sheet to be honest.

Ugh, I wish they'd stop reminding me we're in the Europa league, it's humiliating enough. We deserve to be here because of our utterly dogshit performance in the Champions League, but it's still depressing. I want Ajax to knock us out so we don't have to be in it anymore. Though apparently they are one of the worst Ajax sides of all times so I'm not holding out much hope. I'd really use the game to play fringe players so in theory the team would be...

Amos, Smalling, Fryers, Jones, Fabio, Nani, Pogba, Cleverly, Park, Welbeck, Hernandez. But in respect to Ajax I think Sir Alex will play a stronger side.
