Real Football (Soccer to you Yanks) Thread

Haha! Spurs supporters have honestly got to be some of the most stupid supporters around! Here's some of their reactions to the match today which I cp ed off of one of their forums.

We've lost the cup but we didn't lose the game

Well played Spurs...now 7TH is up for grabs

Does anyone know who were the guys to take on the penalties for us?

When Man U go on to get into the Champions league again, won't they "turn down" their UEFA place and Spurs get it as runners up?

We should be hovering about the top 4.

If there is any chance that Jamie O'hara is on this forum, I want you to know that I have never put a name on the back of a Tottenham shirt. However, I will be proud to wear your name on the back on next years kit after tonight.

Rio Ferdinand

Not one of our players, but he is absolutely immense. he has moved up to a different level, and he cared so much. how terry is captain of england ahead of him is mind blowing........

And a reply;

Ledley King is just as good. Was top class today and he trains once a week at best

:24:

Phew! That was a relief and another good three points to consolidate 7th place. Just shame about that fucking ref! How he's now reffing Premiership matches after his major fuck up with that ghost goal in the Reading Watford match is beyond me! :mad

Yeah, he's Keith Hackett, another dispicable referees, golden boy. Anyway, he's been demoted to non league reffereeing now and about bloody time too! :thumbup

that ref your on about is merely a kid with potential.......he made a glaring mistake with the aid of his assistants and been under the microscope since........give him a chance and stop players trying to take advantage is what i say:nod:

It's not just one monumental mistake though, is it?

Stuart Attwell - top five controversies

5. Accused of failing to control players by Swansea manager Roberto Martinez.

4. Sent Blackpool's Ian Evatt off for a professional foul; TV replays confirmed no contact had been made.

3. Left Derby boss Paul Jewell raging after disallowing two legitimate Rams 'goals' in injury time having already made eight booking and issuing one red card in a relatively friendly derby.

2. Dismissed West Ham's Carlton Cole for two minor offences before losing control of the game (booking eight and dismissing two in total).

1. Attwell awards Reading a 'phantom goal' in a Championship clash with Watford - despite the ball crossing the line three yards wide of the posts.
