Funniest moment for me was when Liverpool supporters booed their team off the pitch despite going clear at the top of the league, when was the last time they won the league again??? Hard bunch to please!:willy_nilly::24:

I can see that happening...Liverpool fans are really hard on their team...and after two 0-0 draws at home like that and only squeaking by Marseilles 1-0 with the talent they have, there are some really high expectations of perfection...and perhaps a little desperation because it has been so long.

That I can kind of relate to though. Steelers fans (our football) are rabid...to the point they would sell out their first born for a ticket (the season ticket waiting list is something like 40 years) and when they do poorly they want the heads of the entire ownership, coaching staff, team, etc. When I toured Anfield I couldn't get over the similarities between The Reds and the Steelers; how the town lives and dies by the team. Personally, I'm not of that mentality...you're going to win some and lose some, but hopefully the wins outweigh the losses. But I've never wanted blood for it...well, except that time O'Donnell threw an interception right to the Dallas defense as if it were his wide receiver in Super Bowl XXX...I wanted balls for that one. :mad

I'm a 'Pool fan, but I got to admit that something about the team's structure in the west-ham game was troubling. Gerrard was particularly wasteful with his 'wonder' shots, and his horrible miss pretty much summed up Liverpool's night. United are gathering momentum, Arsenal are are looking too irregular to challenge for the title, Chelsea are dropping points and home, and Liverpool are about to implode. Looks like it's going to be a really interesting season! But, despite being top of the league, I feel that we're not going to be there for long - I hope I'm wrong.

Torres, we need you desperately!

West Ham have got the Scum tonight, Harry is quoted in the papers as saying he's looking forward to a good reception from the fans at UP. :24::24::24:

I just have to say, it was great seeing West Ham in form against Chelsea. I don't get to watch too many of their games, and they made it worth getting up at a respectable time on Sunday.

Got to watch MOTD tonight, Ian! Apparently Stoke's manager in his interview said that his keeper didn't have a save to make in the second half! Erm...you conceded two second half goals! That and the slapping match between his players, too funny!:24:

Ain't that the truth! My hockey team is going down the pooper thanks to injuries...well that and playing nonchalant.

Sorry...that was a bit of a hijack. ;)

hey people, january is upon us and the window will be open shortly, will city go as crazy as everyone is saying and try to buy half the footballing world? and if you don't supoort city who you want your team to sign? I would like Liverpool to look into another attacking central midfielder.

What's the point in signing another CM when we already have the best midfield in the world? It's unlikely that we'll sign anyone better than Gerrard, Masch or Xabi, and he'd just be taking up valuable playing time for Lucas, who is starting to show what he can do.
