Funniest moment for me was when Liverpool supporters booed their team off the pitch despite going clear at the top of the league, when was the last time they won the league again??? Hard bunch to please!:willy_nilly::24:
I can see that happening...Liverpool fans are really hard on their team...and after two 0-0 draws at home like that and only squeaking by Marseilles 1-0 with the talent they have, there are some really high expectations of perfection...and perhaps a little desperation because it has been so long.
That I can kind of relate to though. Steelers fans (our football) are rabid...to the point they would sell out their first born for a ticket (the season ticket waiting list is something like 40 years) and when they do poorly they want the heads of the entire ownership, coaching staff, team, etc. When I toured Anfield I couldn't get over the similarities between The Reds and the Steelers; how the town lives and dies by the team. Personally, I'm not of that mentality...you're going to win some and lose some, but hopefully the wins outweigh the losses. But I've never wanted blood for it...well, except that time O'Donnell threw an interception right to the Dallas defense as if it were his wide receiver in Super Bowl XXX...I wanted balls for that one. :mad
