I get the point about it not being consensual. Obviously a prostitute being raped would be effected. I wonder if every woman raped feels that they are likely to be killed. If there are times when one does not have that feeling then I could see how a prostitute would not be as severely impacted emotionally.
The biggest and most obvious difference between the sex the prostitute is having for money and when she is raped is that her choice is being taken away. Her freewill, her autonomy and her basic fundamental freedom as a human to have ultimate jurisdiction over her own body.
You might drink 8 glasses of water a day, but I bet you'd not like it very much if I came along and poured a glass down your throat while you were sputtering and trying to get your breath. By your logic, you shouldn't mind that I poured the water down your throat against your will because you drink 8 glasses a day ANYWAY. So what did that one glass hurt?

If a man has sex with several women by his choice that is a choice. If someone grabs his testicles and treats them way the like and abuse the head of his penis then he would feel violated. Seems to me to be the same thing. No means "NO" no matter who says it.

First off, this wasn't a debate. It was a philosophical discussion. I never even said that's what I believed, I was just questioning if it was a possibility.

It's suprising me how many of you are taking this as a debate topic, simply because it was placed in the Philosphy and Debate section. I never said that I believed that prostitutes would be less effected by rape, I was just wondering how others felt about it. I didn't understand how rape DOES effect people before this topic, and mainly I wanted to have an idea, since I myself, have never been raped. Even though several posts ago I stated that this was not only not a debate, but I agreed with the general conscensus anyways, so it didn't matter how you took it.
And yet you have all gone on to try and make me wrong, when I had already agreed with you. It seems to me you all just wanted to feel right about this, and not really want to discuss anything in a civilized manner. The whole 'put others down, to make yourself feel better' kind of deal. Very childish of you all.

I'm biased on debate topics that effect my life. In case if you haven't noticed, PETA and Global Warming effect my life. Prostitutes being raped, however, doesn't effect me. Which is why I flip flopped on this long ago, and now you are just preaching to the choir.
That's why you see a huge difference in the way I am in debates on things such as Global Warming and the Death Penalty. I don't really care about what happens in the death penalty debates (that doesn't mean I don't want to discuss it, but it also means I don't care about the general consensus we end up with) but I do care about global warming, because it could easily alter my future in a very negative way, so I will care about the general consensus, have some fair biased (aka, I already gave the other side a try, and I'll still listen to you, but I have pretty much heard it all before, and I don't think you'll prove me wrong), and get emotional about it.
I have emotions and biased in debates I care about, and not have them in ones I simply discuss. Your just too ignorant to notice.

No matter with how many men a prostitute has slept, having sex with force and with the fear that he might kill her is traumatic enough for anyone.
Let me parallelize it to the following: I knew somebody and he told me that he kills squirrels for fun. I asked a friend of mine that is a doctor what that means (because I was really freaked out) and she told me that this is a psychological condition called sociophaphy, that many serial killers have and that their brain lacks something (she told me but I don't remember) and they CANNOT sympathize their victims (or squirrrels). No matter how much she cried or begged him to let her go he was probably making fun out of it. He was convinced that raping her and then killing her is what he deserves because he thinks deep in his head that sex is a bad thing and a prostitute should be punished. We are talking about a sick man here....
