Liverpool for relegation? It's actually a good thing if you think about it. Liverpool go down, we trim all the fat off the squad, the TRUE Liverpool players will take a pay-cut, the owners would sell quickly as a Championship side doesn't side too nice on their already fail-CV. Plus with the parachute payments, we'll get some money in, gain promotion the next season and/or win the league, gain more money and go back to where we should be AND ticket prices will be cheaper too.

We wouldn't be able to get proper investment from other buyers, plus when you get relegated there is no guarantee we would be promoted the next season, most of the internationals won't be there if any still want to be. Others if not picked up by other clubs would simply retire

Tomorrow sees the kick off of the new Premier League season 2010/11

What is your hopes and predictions for the new season?

For the first time ever, I will be neutral, though if the sale(and gets rid of the current coach, though I won't say anything bad towards Liverpool) goes ahead though I don't particularly want the Chinese government or a Syrian to be in charge of a particular club. Though anyone is better than the clowns in charge right now

For Coventry???:24:

we are actually a club without debt.....we're rebuilding now.....the manager brought in 10 players this summer.....we've only failed to score once this season.....we're just outside of the play-off spots not in the bottom 3

yes...but you're in the position we were 10 years ago.....its a slippery slope, now if liverpool are forced into administration, the points deduction on top of an already disastrous season could prove fatal, with the players there i'm not sure they could get out of that hole...you'd end up having to sell your prize assets to pay debts while not being able to bring quality in.luckily we found buyers 30 minutes before the deadline, but the damage had been done, relegated with a team that consisted of loan players

now i say we're rebuilding,we are...the future is looking positive....but its taken one hell of a long time.we have no debt,a squad with an awful lot of quality young players in it,and a stadium to rival most stadiums

The main problem for Liverpool isn't Hodgson amazingly. It's the fact that because of the debts, and the fact that things aren't going well in terms of success and making profits (something which, despite our debts, isn't a problem because we are in profit), which could make things difficult later on. Selling Gerrard and Torres would raise some funds, but to be honest with the debts as high as they are and the fact success on the field just isn't being achieved at this time, then they will increase because the expectations financially aren't being met. Let me explain. A team like Manchester United, who are in debt need to ensure certain achievements on the pitch to keep the club in profit at the end of the financial year or at least break even. So this involves things like finishing high in the league, going far in the Champions League, and going far in the other cup competitions, as well as filling Old Trafford every week and selling merchandise (consider this, Real Madrid make 100 million Euros a year from shirt sales) and these are the things which make sure that teams meet certain requirements. So in short if Liverpool aren't meeting these, then they COULD go into administation and they WILL have points deducted, and yes they COULD go down. Would that be disastrous? Yes it would, because as previously mentioned there is no guarantee of them coming straight back up and thye would have to sell the players who would raise money to try and make up the big financial loss they would have by being relegated. It's just as disastrous not to finish in a European spot this season, which I don't believe Liverpool will do, for one minute, and that's just a start, to become at least financially viable they need to get back into the Champions League, but with teams like Man City and Spurs getting better, it's really unlikely they will.

But for Liverpool to recover they need stability. And better players. They have some very poor players at the moment, certainly not top class ones. And that's another problem.

I say keep Hicks and Gillett and Hodgson, it's funny to laugh.

And Real Madrid, and Barcelona. The point is with the quality of player Liverpool have in the general terms of what a good player is in the ratio of where Liverpool were percieved to be (top half), it isn't proportional. Sure they have Torres who, despite being a whining spanish ladyboy, does score some impressive goals now and again and Gerrard, despite not being the Gerrard of a couple of seasons back, is still good. It's the likes of Babel, Lucas, Wash, the ugly greek tramp at the back, Jamie 'turns slower than the QE2' Carragher who are holding them down. Sure they aren't all bad players per se, but if Liverpool ever want to reach the likes of the Champions League again, they need to cut down on this shite. They get rid of players like Benayoun, Alonso, Mascherano who were good players and they stick with the shite they have. It beggars belief.

Madrid get their funds, albeit secretively from their Government, it is the "pride" of Spain. How else do you expect them to fund world record signings from Man Utd? If it was privately owned, I don't think they would of got Ronaldo
