It's something you can get away with when you're comfortably winning. If you miss, so what? I remember a few years back we were 1-0 up against Fulham and struggling to put the game away, Alan Smith tried one from halfway and Roy Keane went livid, that's when you don't do it.. Chelsea 1-0 inside a minute against QPR, Sturridge.

Not sure he's got the pace to take it much further. All of Suarez's goals were excellent.

First goal, he must have been tempted bring it onto his right peg and curl it round the keeper, but Suarez was aware of the norwich full back closing him down and finished it beautifully with his left.
Second goal, an incredibly difficult finish, 15 yards out from goal, on the right hand side for a right footed player gives you about half a foot to aim at in the opposite corner. You've got to hit it hard and be deadly accurate.
Third goal was almost the perfect strike, and great awareness to pull it off.

Chelsea beat QPR 6-1, Torres got a hat trick, Malouda, Sturridge and Terry got the others. Cisse pulled one back for QPR. Chelsea go 1 behind Newcastle who they meet on Wednesday but will go back to sixth if Spurs beat Blackburn next. Very classy of the Chelsea fans to boo Anton Ferdinand for having the temerity of accusing Captain Braveheart of racial abuse. Keep it classy chaps.

I haven't taken to QPR this season, I hope they go down.

Chelsea need to keep winning though, winning the Champions League isn't guaranteed so top 4 should still be an aim.

It wouldn't surprise me if Blackburn got a point here weirdly, Spurs aren't playing well.

It would appear so because their next two games are Wigan at home and Chelsea away. I think they'll lose both of those.

A 1-0 defeat hands the initiative to City. First half we were awful though, apart from the first 10 minutes we never tested City's defence, and we conceded a very sloppy goal. Second half was poor until City realised that if we equalised we'd still be 3 clear and played like Chelsea last week. While we did most of the pressing in the second half, we never really tested Hart. It wasn't a game for the fan who enjoys chances because I can't remember too many of them. The Title race isn't over but it's certainly a case of hoping for other teams to do us a favour. Gareth Barry getting the MOTM tells a lot.

I fancy one of QPR or Newcastle to snatch a point against City, both will have something to fight for, Utds last two should be easier, but they gotta get back to scoring

I had more hope about Newcastle before this weekend to be honest, and they play Chelsea away tomorrow. While the incentive is still there for them to get something against City, the fact Wigan walked through their defence blindfolded and scored 4 times doesn't fill me with confidence. But a point would be agreeable because I'd still think we'd beat Swansea at home. But if they beat Newcastle that's it, QPR have no chance against them.

i only caught the second half; it wasn't a classic, but the atmosphere where i watched it was great, maybe 40% man u fans, the rest of us were ardent citizens for the night. Yaya is a fucking beast.

Park was the wrong choice, because he kept losing the physical battle with Toure (not that many would but anyway) and in a tight game as it was, you can't lose those. Valencia was the better choice but the formation was correct. The first half went exactly as it expected, us keeping tight and City mainly attacking, it just panned out that they scored. They should have got more (particularly Nasri when he tried to walk it in) and had we been able to have more shots they would have paid, but we didn't, and it was a poor display and we deserved to lose. The game didn't live up to the hype (totally overblown by Sky Sports).

How Gareth Barry got the MOTM is still beyond me, I know the losing side's players don't get it but Scholes and Carrick were far better, and had the game been a draw, they win it. But Yaya was better than Barry even. If City get better midfielders this summer, he's gone.

but then if we had had more shots and scored more we'd have stayed up,we didn't so we went down

i still say theres going to be a twist in this title race though, city will be wary of newcastle and united will wish for better opponants than sunderland if it goes to the last day

Your relegation was about more than not scoring more goals, that's an awful comparison, no offence.

If City win at Newcastle they'll win the Title, because I just don't see them slipping up at home to QPR. Yes they'll probably need something themselves to stay up but they're awful and deserve to go down. Unless we beat Swansea 7-0 and level out the goal difference of course.

The games remaining are about equal, Newcastle away is more difficult than Swansea at home but QPR at home is easy compared to Sunderland away. All we have to do is win our games and hope for a slip up. And if we lose out on goal difference, so be it.
