Congratulations to Reading on being promoted to the premier league!!
As well as us beating them in the playoff final last year, my brother and nephew were mascots at away game there once and their staff and fans were all great. Had a really nice experience there, fans even stopped to chat with us on the way through the car park mentioning the talent of some of our players. Never seen such nice fans before really pleased for them.

Arsenal vs Chelsea kicks off a critical weekend in the Premier league.

Arsenal : Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Van Persie.

Chelsea :
Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Malouda, Kalou, Sturridge, Torres.

A week ago you'd have said Arsenal win, but with the way the last week's gone, well. Who knows.

0-0 full time. Not an ideal point for either side but workable. Chelsea remained resilient throughout, Arsenal lacked something. Kinda like the matches the two played last week in a way.

As for the games today. Aston Villa vs Sunderland will be a draw, Blackburn will edge past Norwich, Swansea will get a win at Bolton, Fulham will see off Wigan, Newcastle should beat Stoke and QPR-Tottenham will be a draw I think.

Villa 0-0 Sunderland. Villa won't be too happy but Sunderland did have a goal ruled out. Blackburn beat Norwich 2-0, Swansea drew 1-1 with Bolton, Fulham beat Wigan 2-1, Newcastle beat Stoke 3-0.

8 weeks ago Spurs were 10 points clear of Arsenal, having just demolished Newcastle 5-0. Now Spurs, having lost to Arsenal, Man United, Everton, Norwich and QPR, and drawing with Stoke, Sunderland and Chelsea and only beating Swansea, are 6 points behind Arsenal, and 3 behind the same Newcastle side they beat 5-0. Funny old game.

If Newcastle can keep their heads and focus, they will qualify for the Champions league. The frontline is just drool (1).gif. Pardew really should get manager of the year.

Well it's funny but Spurs form started to fluctate just about when Capello resigned, and Redknapp started getting really linked. The Arsenal game really summed it up, 2-0 up and blew it (though it was a super Arsenal performance). It looks to be Redknapp for the England job for sure, but Pardew would be a good choice if he wanted it.

Redknapp's alright, his stock was high 2 months ago, now it's pretty low. Pardew's is high now, but a few years ago, it was very very low. It's easy to get carried away.

Whoever comes in has the advantage that the last tournament was almost an unmitigated disaster (I say almost, we did get out of the group stage).

Personally, I'd be happy to see Redknapp out of spurs so they can go back to being rubbish. :D

I think it'd be a fairytale for Newcastle if they can keep up the pace and finish in fourth, or even third, as wouldn't they be the first team to be promoted to the Premier League (since it began) to finish in a Champions League (or European) place at the first attempt of coming up?

No because they didn't come up last season, it was the season before. But it would be a great achievement if they finished in a Champions league spot, wouldn't be too bad if they finished in a Europa League spot either but I think they'd be disappointed with that given their run.

Three games today, we kick off against Everton at 12.30 which with a win we'll go 8 points clear again, before Man City go to Wolves which they should win easily. If Wolves lose that they will be relegated officially. Liverpool play West Brom at 4pm, not sure why it's kicking off today.

Everton's always a banana skin, but I'd expect us to beat them at home. Away is different because Goodison is difficult to visit. I've enjoyed watching Swansea this season, the only thing is they need some summer investment because they've been kinda slipping lately and it could have been more dangerous, with a couple of players they should be fine. Newcastle need to keep their top stars and buy a couple more, and I think they'll do good next season too, they have Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez etc who can all damage teams, like I said, keep them and buy more and they'll do something. I'd find it greatly amusing if they finished third and Chelsea didn't qualify for next season's Champions League. Though if they win it this season, then the 4th place team (if it isn't Chelsea) would only qualify for the Europa League. They had to make that ruling when the Everton/Liverpool thing happened in 2005. So Newcastle/Arsenal/Spurs fans should hope Barcelona knock Chelsea out on Tuesday.

On yesterday's action. Blackburn beat Norwich well, two classy goals (I think Hoilett is above Blackburn's level personally). Yakubu's double footed overhead was funny. I thoguht Clattenburg fucked up sending off Taarabt. I think he booked him (for the second yellow) without realising he'd already booked him, and went "shit, gotta send him off now". Honestly I think that's exactly what happened. But a good win for QPR none the less. Spurs are looking very unlikely for the top 4. How Swansea didn't beat Bolton I don't know, they had about 4 times as many shots.

I know why now. It's because there was a Titanic celebration in Liverpool yesterday and there was no public transport/police had to be there and couldn't police the game, so it was moved back 24 hours.

I cannot believe that fucking result, 3-1 up, we nearly fuck it up, 4-2 up, we do fuck it up. What a shit fucking result, fuck off United defending, just handed the fucking initiative to City, and why? Because you threw away a 4-2 lead. Dozy fucking cunts. should have been 8 clear, now it's only 6. Well done, if you don't win the Title, this result right here will be to blame. Fucking spastic retard defending.

I'm absolutely fucking fuming at that defending, they don't teach that shit anywhere, yes we defend like retards.

City will beat Wolves, down to 3 now. Yeah, brilliant United. Fucking cunts, don't deserve the fucking Title based on that shit performance.

Well, based on that display, I wouldn't back our defense to beat Rotherham. A few arses will be kicked in that dressing room. I'd think about docking some wages given that display. Scandalous that top league players can let 4 goals in like that.
