Porn star/teacher

I saw this on TV and thought it is a pretty good subject to discuss.

How would you feel if a teacher (that is teaching your child) use to be a porn star? Would it bother you that she is teaching your child or would you believe that everyone makes mistakes and that was her past?

The issue I seen on TV, was were the teacher use to be a porn star back in her younger days when she was homeless and her movies are still out for sale (there were 25 made). The school board where she was teaching found out about it and fired her. Do you think that was fair?

Exactly. The way I feel, her past is irrevelant. It was 11 yrs ago and she shouldnt be judged of her past. She is a different person now with 3 kids.

i don't think its fair. people change. its not like the children would be watching the porn and be like oh thats my teacher. if she does her job good, i think its not even relevent what she has done in the past. but, of course, i do see why the school felt they should do that, but it still doesn't make it fair to her.

Here is where it is debatable.

While I agree that everyone has a past, Something such as that can and could affect her ability to be a good teacher..

I mean truly she could be the best teacher the scholl has.. And yet.. ( it does not specify what grades she taught) Were her students.. even one to find out.. She would be useless as a teacher.

Speaking from Experiance, I had a teacher in Junior High.. Everyone knew that she used to be a topless waitress at a local strip club many years before.. And I mean Every Single generation of Students knew.. She was a bitch teacher.. she was the hassle of all Jokes, and NO ONE respected her as a teacher, and her class room suffered the most discapline issues.

High Schol, You can almost Gurantee that someone would figure out who she was.. and word would spread.. They would make her life Hell.. I know we made our teachers life hell, Still dont know why she came back everyday...

Like I said, Its not about what the parents would think, but imagine how her students would treat her once they knew.. She would become an ineffectual teacher.

I dont think it would be about that.. It would be about the way she would be treated by Students, By the boys that would EXPECT her to still be a porn star, and the girls who would remind her everyday that she was a slut.. about the obsessive kid who is convinced that she wants to sleep with him because she is always looking his way.. its about the girl who thinks and accuses of being failed because she is a girl and not a guy. its about how many times she would walk into class to see slut written across the wall.. about how she couldnt walk to her car after class because of the boys hanging out just to say hi. its about the vidios that will show up on her desk, and the can you autograph this for me... lol.. Kids are cruel.. no matter their age, all they need is a reason.

The Teacher I mentioned.. She worked at a club called the pink flamingo... every year, she had to come into a class that was decorated in flamingos and pictures always being posted of flamingos.. if there was a way to piss her off.. get to her.. (and she was oldddd and ugly).. but the students did it.. year after year... She got to the point where it became so bad that she finally would not even allow students to wear pink in her room...

Its not the adults in this situation that would be the problem ( cept a few dads I am sure, a couple jealus moms).. But it is the students.

I'm a dancer, and there were a couple guys that found out when I first started dancing, and were really getting on my back about it...they were trying to let it bother me. But it actually didn't...basically b/c I made more money than them lol. But if I were to become a teacher and the kids knew about it, I wouldn't let it get to me. I would still teach, and it's their grade that's on the line, not mine. Yes I know that kids could be cruel, but that's exactly what they are, kids. I honestly can't see them bothering me.

And as for that woman, I don't think they should have fired her, and if I were her I would do something about it.

Did the teacher have tenure? I know in Florida, in you first six months, you can be fired without any warning and for any reason. If I remember correctly, in the next two and a half years (assuming you have a 3 year contract and not a 5 year one), they can still fire you but they have to give a reason. After three years, you have tenure and then the school has to go through procedural due process (basically a hearing) to fire you.

I don't know if the laws concerning pre-tenure teachers are the same where this teacher was but if they are, then they could fire her for this.

Yes I think it is fair!....if someone doesnt want a por stasr teaching their child I understand.....My personal morals say that I dont give a shit what she did in her former life....but for my child....NOPE. The rules that I live by, and the rules my kidds live by are different...and for a reason.

I don't know if I would personally want my child to be taught by a porn star. I guess it would all depend on how good of a teacher she is and what is the age of the child.

I think first thing shud be investigated is that who all saw her films from SCHOOL BOARD ?????? ....... I think before firing her they shud have also checked her current behaviour ... HUMANS ARE BOUND TO MAKE MISTAKES ...
