You're argument was that BP got a safety award so Obama is incompetent. Most of criticism I've heard seems intent on gaining political advantage. No surprise is it? We don't live in country where this kind of situation is looked at from a neutral or fair basis. It more of how can I help my party win the next election.
BTW, it does not matter what kind of safety program you have, safety lasts only as long as you don't have an accident. This is one of the conundrums of working in any Safety Department.
Oh my fucking god. You really don't read or comprehend anything that is said, do you? I said that a safety award was given after Obama took office. I didn't blame him for the disaster occurring. Meanwhile, you're blaming Bush for it happening for reasons x and y that you found on someone's blog.
Let's go back and try this again. Maybe you'll understand it this time around, but I'm not holding my breath.
My argument is that there has been a total and complete lack of leadership from the Obama administration on this issue. The EPA hasn't done shit, and the head of the EPA reports directly to Obama. Obama has gone on record about wanting to "kick someone's ass", and pointed fingers, and yet nothing has been done. The Administration has refused help from other countries and not gotten equipment out of storage that might have been able to help. The Administration refused to let state governments build barrier islands when there was still a chance they might have been able to do some good. There hasn't been any sort of leadership provided by the President in this issue as near as I've been able to tell, at least until very recently. All that's really been done is that fingers have been pointed, a company has been shaken down, and blame has been put on Bush. Sounds exactly like what I want to hear from my President during a time of crisis.
Now, the question is whether or not you're actually going to read what I said, or if you're going to go back to saying the same shit over and over again about how I just hate Obama.
