No, no, no! That violates their civil rights! Everyone is entitled to a 12-year appeals process at least! You're evil! The death penalty makes you a hypocrite! You're barbaric!

Working in the prison system I can tell you all EXACTLY what your tax dollars are going for....
Inmates get to buy things from the commisary, things such as a pair of Timberland boots that we pay $150 out here for they only pay $15......a pair of New Balance tennis shoes that we pay $70 out here for, they pay $10....they get BIG discounts on cigarrettes, food, television sets, drinks, toiletries and just about anything else you can think of. And the ones who have no one to send them money, the state picks up their tabs and gives them an allowance so they aren't left out either! They sit in front of numerous flat screen television sets watching cable all day long while you all are out busting your asses to pay taxes for THEIR upkeep. Some of you say that you are against the death penalty? Well, that's all well and good, but do you really want an extra 150,000 "children" to take care of every year? These guys and girls are getting shit for FREE that you can't even afford to BUY for your own children!

Not to mention the fact that even though these guys are murderers, rapists, child molesters, thieves, and habitual felons, they have more "civil rights" being in the prison than I do working there! These fuckers can attack me, hit me, try to rape me, and if I defend myself "too much" I'M the one standing trial for violating their rights!! Come work in one of these prisons and after a month or two let's see if you're still all for getting rid of the death penalty!

Well, having spent the last 4 years working with these assholes, I have some inside info! I've seen how they work, how they manipulate the system and everyone around them. I have no sympathy for any of them. Yes, people can change, that's all fine and good, BUT you still must pay for the mistakes that you've already made.
Dont know how you do it... my wife was thinking of getting a job at the prision here in Houston (Huntsville) but personally i couldnt stand those sick *** in there even looking at her.
She opted to stay in her current job. If i can keep me and my family away from them, i will.
Smart decision....I got into it at first because I thought it would be good experience for me later on when I became a cop....I ended up getting stuck in it and fighting with those assholes and now after all these years and all the fights and "violations" of their rights, I'm stuck because I've racked up disciplinary charges because I refuse to let the fuckers run me over. I've got assault charges and all that on me now, so I have to stay until my disciplinary periods are over.
Tell your wife yeah, the money is great, but it's not worth your sanity....

Now don't get me wrong, I love my job, I'm keeping assholes behind bars that have no business out in the world, but sometimes I wonder what my life woulda been like if I would have stuck to being a kindergarten teacher :24:
