:D:thumbup

He's my absolute favorite. <3

I met him a few times in the past, what a GREAT guy!

I idolize Dan Henderson, He's the type of guy I strive to be like, and he's one of the few guys that at age 40 can still compete with anyone in the world, there'll never be another guy like Dan Henderson. My favorite fighter of all time though is Matt Lindland as you can probably tell from my Av lol, and this is one of my favorite MMA pictures of all time, never seen so much MAN in one picture.

This picture makes me giggle every time I see it... It's so wrong, yet, so right. HAHA!

I can totally see why Matt Lindland would be someone's favorite fighter - his wrestling skills are FTW and Jesus, that man is like Gumby!. . .So flexable!. . .I've never seen a neck bend in every which direction without breaking like Lindland's does, lol.

Oh I couldn't agree wtih you more regarding Dan Henderson.
...I will be a very sad woman when he finally decides to call it a day in MMA.:(

Do you do MMA? If so, what do you do?

I've been wrestling since I was a kid and have trained BJJ off and on for a few years, I've trained a tiny bit of boxing too, I've competed in grappling tournaments before but never actual MMA, that's something I'd really like to do someday though.

That's a good foundation if you ever want to compete someday... You seem to have quite a few decent tools for the ground and on your feet.:thumbup

My husband is semi-professional in MMA but he doesn't do it full time. Unfortunately, he's going through a phase of, "I'm getting too old". Personally, I think he's just spent way too many years training too hard in both Rugby and MMA and it's finally taking it's toll on him. (he's only 30).

I'm 38 (will be 39 this year) and have been doing Muay Thai for quite a long time. I've never gone professional or anything like that. I just LOVE that particular style of kickboxing.:)

I'm still an absolute beginner in everything but wrestling, lol and even that I'm not very good at, I have a loooooong ways to go before I'd be ready to try and fight anyone who knows what they're doing. My favorite striking Art is definitely Boxing, there doesn't seem to be any boxing gyms near me though, back in Oregon there were MMA gyms and gyms for all sorts of single martial arts all over the place, I can't find SHIT here.

Where are you living now?

If they don't have any boxing gyms near you, have you thought about looking for a place that incorporates boxing, like kickboxing?

I'm in New York right now, I can't find anything close enough that I can make it to, all we've got in this area are general fitness gyms.

It's almost time, dk!:willy_nilly:

I'm actually looking forward to Griffin vs. Franklin and Bader vs. Jones, too! Should be an, 'on the edge of your seat' evening!

Jones might be the best wrestler I've seen in MMA, you see so many guys come in with these amazing credentials and then fail to live up to them, like that worthless piece of shit Mark Munoz(LOL I hate that fucking guy) and then someone like Jon Jones who takes down whoever they want whenever they want, the only other guys I've seen that can do that are Matt Lindland, Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson and randy Couture, I think them along with Jones are the top 5 best wrestlers in MMA.
