97 will be alright, Chuck will KO Shogun and Anderson will take out Leites, they need to stop giving him easy fights and still trying to call him P4P best.

Maybe, but Chuck vs Shogun is a long awaited match up for me, and if it is half as good and Wand vs Chuck it will be well worth it.

Though Shogun needs to get his Cardio back

I think Shogun's days as a top fighter are gone, he looked terrible against Coleman, coming to find out that Coleman couldn't even afford a training camp for the fight makes it even worse, he barely beat a 45 year old man who didn't even train, I'll still watch it for the same reason you are but honestly neither of them will ever be on top again.

Yeah, it's kind of a throwback fight IMO,

And to think Coleman was supposed to be the first to fight Brock in the UFC?

He would have been killed

a knee injury forced him out of the fight, good thing for him. It's sad to see this happen to to Shogun considering how young he is, I know his fans don't want to accept it but it's fairly obvious he took steroids in PRIDE, if he gets cut after losing to Chuck expect him to look like his old self again in DREAM.

You can say the same thing about Cro Cop, some guys have just not been able to make the steroid free transition

yup, Cro Cop, Herring, Shogun, Wanderlei all looked terrible in the UFC, Henderson, Rampage, and Fedor I believe didn't Juice but Most PRIDE fighters did, I won't hold it against them though, you have to expect some fighters to take advantage of no drug testing.

Troo, but I would not say that about Wand. He looked good against Jardine and Chuck

wildly aggressive guys like Wand are Jardine's cryptonite, he looked good against Chuck, but it just seems like he can't take a shot anymore, maybe he's just taken too much beating in his time.

Yup, the guy held the title in Pride for 5 years, fought allot of cans, but I contribute it to age. Aggressive strikers don't last as long as wrestlers do. Though I would not be surprised if he roided too.

yeah, all those years of blocking punches with his face have really taken their toll on him.

Sure was, I hope he retires before he Ken Shamrock's himself though.

He seems like a much more stable guy (out of the ring), he's probably saved up his cash and wont have to make a spectacle out of himself for money in the future. He was paid weel in Pride too. I doubt he's hurting financially, so if he keeps going it is just because he loves doing that. I can respect that. Guys like Tank or Sham didn't really get the pay days and are not exatly stable types.

Shamrock and Tank both made a ton of money in pro wrestling, they really just love to fight, it's sad to see decrepid old men like them fight their hearts out against Cans in minor league shows when someone like Jason Miller is still in his Prime and just doesn't feel like fighting anymore, total waste of talent.

Well, it's hard to watch cause they are not what they used to be, and also have not kept up with the evolution of the sport. But I respect a guy getting out there cause it is what he loves to do more then a guy like Penn who could be the greatest of all time holding two belts if he showed some fucking grit.

agreed, it's hard to watch them lose to guys they would have smashed a few years ago, Shamrock's career has been plagued by early stoppages, we were robbed of a potentially legendary fight with the Shamrock/Sakuraba stoppage.

I was was crushed by it, being the Lindland Nuthugger that I am, I do think the old Vitor is back, it's just too bad it had to be at Lindland's expense :(

I hear that, I have a buddy that rolled with Lindland, said he was the strongest man he ever wrestled.

And being a massive Randy fan, I am used to being crushed :p
