And you became a Christian a year ago? Looks like you've been hard at work studying The Book. ;)

I was reading and gathering information before i repented and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. I didn't just wake up one day and decided to become a christian. If i am to commit my life to something, i have to know what i am committing my life to before i do so. I grew up in a christian home so the word was being taught to me. After i have become a christian a year ago, i have committed to the word. I want to know and learn everything thing there is about my faith.

I'm willing to bet you $1 you are going to be surprised when the day of your passing arrives. :D

Can a historical study help us to decide who has the true account of Jesus?

No,

1) there is no historical proof of the existance of jesus (i'm sure at that time there was at least one person named "Jesus" who may have practiced slight of hand/magic which may have been percieved as miracles or was simply a really nice guy who liked helping people and thought everyone should be nice to one another)
2) the bible is "the greatest story ever told", with this also there is no historical proof even though there are some compelling link's to actuall historical events.
3) just becuase millions of people believe something doesnt make real/true/fact (i.e. aliens, bigfoot, atlantis, bermuda triangle etc.)

Logically there is more of a chance of aliens, than the God as specifically described by Christians or Muslims...
