do all that stuff at home
what the hell do I need to pay for another place to do what I can do at home
even without the equipment

Well I know for me, personally, we get such a good deal through the Sheriff's Department that it was hard to pass up. I pay $5.50 bi-weekly for my gym membership (that JUST got increased this year...it's been $4 bi-weekly for the past 10 years). For an extra $10 per month I get unlimited tanning, childcare (not that I need it, mind you), access to all 3 gym locations, a guest pass for EACH visit, and all the group fitness classes that I want.

70 minutes? I know the PF treadmills max out at 60... Do you switch between treadmill/elliptical/bike?

I think the treadmills at Edge max out at 60, also. I do very little treadmill...I prefer to walk/jog/run outside instead.

This is my routine right now:

It depends on my mood. Lately I've been doing 32 minutes (30 + a 2 minute cool down) on the elliptical and following it up w/ 38 minutes (36 + 2 minute cool down) on the stationary bike. Some days I'll switch it up and do less on the bike and walk/jog instead. I'm trying to build back up to running...but I hate it...so much. :24:

I try to get all my sets done in about 45 mins.. Cardio is my weakness. I Effing HATE it!! Still on my off days, I use the stationary bike till my ass sweats.

I try to train 3 days on .. one day off. Missing the occasional workout here and there. Most workouts in my opinion, can be completed in a hour or so not counting cardio.

Someone training 2 hours+ a day must be training for an event, or looking to go pro. Most pro bodybuilders use an am/pm split routine which probably leaves them with no life as well.
I am not in bad shape, but if I trained for 2 hours straight I'd overtrain so badly I wouldn't be able to walk for a week..

Train at your own pace so long as your making gains. :thumbup

I don't spend anytime in a gym. Instead, walking around my neighborhood as well as around the little villages near where I live is more interesting to me.

I do it at home, I alternate between cardio one day for half an hour approx mainly on my trampoline or with skipping rope and then 45 mins the next doing pilates or yoga, I dont feel bad if I miss a few days though Im not anal about it.

My gym never has anymore than 2-3 people in so I dont have to put up with other sweaty bodies. I also don't have to fight for machines. Added bonus cos I'd get fed up waiting and go home hahaha

Oh geez...the only time there's only 2 - 3 people in my gym is when I go at like 2 in the morning. And even then more usually show up before I'm done working out. When I got in the mornings there's easily 50 - 60 people in there.

I hate busy gyms. That's why I love the one I (sometimes, occasionally) go to. They have a pool which is always empty too, so I can actually get a decent swim in without climbing over kids and people. It is a tiny gym to be fair, there is 5 treadmills, 2 steppers, 4 cross-trainers, 4 bikes, 2 rowers. Roughly.

Oh wow, that IS tiny!!! All the resolutionists are still coming to DanceFit class every week and it's been a little too crowded for my tastes. Aside from that, I <3 my gym. I figure the crowd will thin out in the next month or so.

Yup it is tiny. I like it that way. The gyms I have previously been a member of have been way to "up your own bum" for my liking. So once I get my bum in gear and get back to the gym, I shall enjoy it more than those gyms. I'm a resolutionist who is yet to begin her resolution :24:
