Millions of people stop and look up into the sky. An angelic face looks down and says "I am God, it's been a while, but I'm back."

Scenario One- "What can I do to make your lives easier?" God asks. "I need a new house", yells someone. Poof, a new house appears. "I want world peace", yells another. All conflict around the world ceases. "I want to be young again!" The woman reverts back to 17 years of age. "I want paradise on Earth!" Poof, the wish is granted.

Scenario Two- When people ask for help, God tells them, "it's up to you to find your way. See you in the great beyond!"

Scenario Three- "These are my rules, start following them, or I'll punish you for eternity."

Did God prove his existence in any scenario? If not, what would it take to prove beyond doubt, that this is God talking directly to us?

If it was God, which scenario did he help mankind the most?

It would take a physical presence for me. To me there is no logic to their being a god. It is just a means to explain what can not be proven and explained.

I don't think he has to... God is essentially a culmination of ones hopes and dreams. the things we long for and hope are waiting for us. Whether God exists or not, I think it's good in a society like ours to at least dream of a better life than the one we're currently living.

I agree with your last statement. But, I've given you an example of a physical presence, the face in the sky. But how would you know if the face in the sky was your God, the Devil, an advanced alien race, or psychosis? :)

So, can God himself prove his existence? A creature with advanced technology and abilities could fool you into believing he was your God. There was a Star Trek Next Generation episode about this, but can't remember the name.

The more I think about "God", the more I'm intrigued with the lack of logic behind the concept as promoted by mainstream religions. But I'm not an Atheist. A God has dominion over you. Why exactly should you love him and follow his/her rules? Just because? He can hurt you? He knows the way? Then why the lack of communications?

If you remember there was a time when Gods were thought of as powerful beings with all the short comings of humans- lust, greed, etc. Who decided that the Christian/Muslim/other God was the "perfect" God? With the caveat that everything written in the Bible is suspect, first glance, I'd say that God's treatment of Adam and Eve and all of their children is highly suspect if you looking for someone with great wisdom, fairness, and love.

I don't think he has to... God is essentially a culmination of ones hopes and dreams. the things we long for and hope are waiting for us. Whether God exists or not, I think it's good in a society like ours to at least dream of a better life than the one we're currently living.

Unfortunately, religion is not sold as people's dreams and hopes, but the cold, hard, burn in hell, give me your money, do as I say,
facts.

God exists, and because of so, he does not need to prove it. He lets mankind choose what they want, God does not control anything that we can choose. Instead, he lets man choose for his own. Thus, be awarded or punished due to what the man has chosen. Eventually, if you choose well, you may go to heaven, if you do not believe in God, why would you bother yourself? You just don't have to worry, and you can let the worrying to other people who believe in him(actually this concern is not very tiring, it very comforting, even the fear you have towards God, it is the kind of good fear, like when you fear to meet the teacher on the exam day, while you believe that you are very special to him.
