Going to my mums in half an hour to do some housework for her, hopefully ironing because that's a nice repetitive task. Then we're going out tonight because I got a mystery shopping assignment come through to eat at one of our local pubs, so at least no cooking tonight!

Know what really works? Making popcorn in butter instead of oil!

Had a bit of a panic trying not to burn the butter before the popcorn actually popped, not sure if the pan will clean up okay, but it tastes yummy, slightly buttery without being soggy or overwhelming

I put my popcorn in the microwave and press the "popcorn" button.

I do love the microwave stuff though, whenever I make butter popcorn the top 2/3 are great but the bottom layer is soggy as hell

I should really learn how to do this lucid dreaming thing, because I have some really interesting (for me) dreams sometimes and can't do anything when they get off track.


Last night, I dreamt I was living in one of those Amish villages where all the women wear skirts and get married and raise kids, and all the men are farmers and stuff. I was married off to some boring Amish-accountant guy who I didn't really love but that was just what you did, but then I met another man on a park bench and ended up kissing him... and then things got a little weird and futuristic, because it turned out he was some sort of alien and was dying, which meant he had trouble looking human and kept turning into a puddle of white gloop and had to stay in water at all times... and then my husband found out and was angry, but also for some reason willing to help me take the alien back to his people in another town.
