Avatar is the worst one though. I really had to force myself to sit through it.

I'll have to add Alien. I know people are going to really not going to believe it but the film just bores me so much.

And Kill Bill Vol 2. Such a disappointment after the first one.

I wouldn't go that far, but it definitely drags on too long. And the criminal/boats/bomb scene is just cringe worthy.


I have to agree with those who mentioned Godfather. I like part two, but parts one and three don't do it for me.

Not necessarily. Overrated would be movies that were hyped and are just bad. Highly regarded would be critically acclaimed and/or movies that were widely considered good movies. I suppose it's semantics but I differentiate between the two and that's how I interpreted the intent of this thread.

I'll agree with Crash. That movie was terrible. It made me feel there isn't one redeemable person in the world. I guess that's where the director wanted it to go. It's garbage.

I wouldn't say that. It's decent - but was way over-hyped. Batman Begins is far superior imho.
