His movies never live up to his books but IMO most of his movies are pretty good, I'm interested to see what they do with the movie adaptation of IT.

Wait, are you saying they're making one? I know they did a TV version, which made me want to cry.

Every Jim Carrey movie sans the Cable Guy, and Ace Ventura.

I liked the Truman Show!

I agree with that. Most Stephen King movies are made very very well. (Especially "Stark - The Dark Half", my favorite. - But that wasn't the question in this thread, aye? :D)

Yup, I hear they're making an actual movie of it, I hope it's darker and not cartoony like the TV Version, and I hope they don't leave out Key Parts.

Overrated, and annoying as HELL.

Big time, I can't remember the last time I saw a movie of his that I liked.

any of the star wars stuff

:homo:....its called star wars yet most of the series is set on a dusty planet

Lord Of The Rings. I'm just not that interested in the whole genre.

heathen......its the greatest story ever told.....if you look into it theres actually scenes that are based on actual events

none, not one

star trek as well

cannot stand it

i used to like you:24:

Old movies, or 'classics' like the Godfather. Tried to watch it, couldn't bear it.

the godfather is absolute garbage

2001 Space Odyssey. Terrible.

i thought of this but, back then the special effects were amazing

didnt they do IT years ago?

Every Jim Carrey movie sans the Cable Guy, and Ace Ventura.

:eek

I'm off to look up as many details as I can. IT is one of my favourites so I have to determine whether they're going to ruin it or keep just enough intact so I can still watch it without weeping tears of regret.

I haven't looked up any details but I'm leaning towards tears of regret lol

Add the dark knight and inception too

My brother says The Dark Knight is absolute garbage...worst movie EVER he says.

Forest Gump

I agreed the first time I watched it...but now I love it.

To be honest, I have a hard time appreciating films when I've already been told how great they are. It builds them up too much.

Same here.

I liked the Truman Show!

That's one on on list. Absolutely HATED that piece of crap. HORRID!!!

Saving Private Ryan. Go ahead...boo me. LOL

I'd have to disagree with people mentioning these greats: Apollo 13, Forrest Gump, Star Wars series, and yes, putting Godfather on the list of overrated movies IS blasphemy!
I would admit I've never watched Avatar and it doesn't appear to be anything original in the slightest. Many Jim Carey movies are obnoxious, but not including The Truman Show, Man on the Moon or the Number 23. I enjoyed Fear and Loathing, but you have to be in the right mood for that wild ride. I will NEVER have a desire to watch anything in the Twilight series (I am a heterosexual male).

The title of this thread suggests highly regarded movies, not overrated. :)
