I don't understand why y'all keep saying he's a troll. It seems to me he's always been willing to discuss, and just because he APPARENTLY doesn't discuss or respond the way you all would like him to, y'all come to the conclusion that he's a troll.

I've seen alot of people insulting him, and he insults noone in return. So clearly this is a case of idiocy and mob rules in reality and logical and fair thinking has flown out the window.

Thinking about the comments he posts is alot more affective and trying to realize the conversation rather than spouting troll accusations when in reality, he doesn't have any troll traits.

$500 dollars says this post will go in one ear and out the other, but might as well try to make sense to someone.

You have to remember my friend that some think that any thought that goes against dogma is trolling from someone, from the theist POV, who just does not understand and theists will not follow their God who says----

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Do not expect Christians to walk their talk.

Also, do not expect agreement from most theists here because admitting you are wrong about something is one of the hardest things for a mind to do.

^Nah, I agree completely. I get the sense there may be a language barrier a bit as well, though I am not sure because I don't know him, but he did mention speaking multiple languages at one point.

There is that and also the fact that if someone cannot see the logic trail I set out in the O P and just attack without trying to refute it, then I assume they never will get it and I admit to being impatient with some.

I am also a reactive person and if I see 0 respect from the get go, I give exactly that same respect back.

I am not here to take shit from those of lesser intellect or from those who are mired in dogma and have forgotten how to think.

Well to be absolutely fair, he isn't 100% the innocent soul that Alice is trying to make out. I wouldn't call him a troll but he's been personally insulting to several people before, including myself, when discussions get heated, so let's not go saying the guy is any better than the rest of us.

Maybe he hasn't insulted anyone in this specific thread (I really can't be bothered to go back and check) but he's certainly done it elsewhere. I'm sure he can take care of himself just fine.

I have mentioned that I give what I get.

I do not usually insult unless I get such first.

I do admit to, on occasion, being first in showing disrespect for foolish ideas or poor morals though.
I have done my homework in thinking the way I do and do not suffer fools well.

The member who called GIA that probably thinks everyone on OTZ is a fucking retard. Actually GIA is quite bright. Although HK may be correct that English is not his first language. Nothing wrong with that though.

I have seen GIA insult other members but it's always been tit for tat that I remember. I can't imagine HK being insulting so I don't know what happened there.

GIA is not slow to insult beliefs that he considers stupid. He's not one of those "we're all right so let's just have a group hug" sort of person. His gruffness has made him some enemies on OTZ.

Overall, I like the guy. He's not bad for a theist.

Religionist, or better still, spiritual person, please.

Theists are into the supernatural. The Godhead I know is quite natural. No miracle or magic thanks.
No dogma either. It recognizes that man is supreme in this world.
Nothing or no one is greater.
If there was a miracle working super God, he could not do better than what we are and have here and now.

You might have noted though that others have confirmed that I usually react after an insult has been thrown my way.

I expect heat just from the way I post and it is not surprising for me to get it.
If given politely I usually respond in kind but let me be clear that I am here to teach right thinking to theists who base their theology on faith without thought. There is nothing they can generally teach me so if they refuse to learn then I will get political on their sorry ass.

I worked hard for my apotheosis and will not let fools go about being foolish.

You may not think I take scriptures too seriously and sure, sometimes I do not but there is wisdom in that book.

After reading all the comments in this thread I'm confused as to why people automatically feel insulted when the relevance is that no insult was intended.

What people should understand is that their point of view is not automatically accurate and to think so and hold those thoughts sacred is idiotic...IF brought into public. Everyone has biased thoughts, but there's no need to become insulted when plain and simple, you asked for it! This is a debate forum (philosophy section).

I've noticed that too. I knew a self proclaimed "atheist" once who said one day he realized God wasn't just out to ruin all his fun but God really loved him and wanted the best for him. So he became a Christian. That man never was an atheist. He was a believer who wasn't living his beliefs.

Sorry to misrepresent you. I was just joking anyway. I have a lot of friends who are theists.

Your natural god reminds me of Arthur Clarke's third law: any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Perhaps I am still misunderstanding you though.
