Facts are supported by evidence.

And no facts have ever been present to support a supernatural all powerful creator.

I just find it sad humans were blessed with a brain to think logically and develop rational thinking yet they try to justify things in their life with the idea a super omnipotent being is overlooking and helping them through things. We should be embracing science imo. It may not have all the answers, but it has alot of them and has come to conclusions and theories claims based on factual evidence.

And it pisses me off that humans think they are so weak and helpless that they couldn't do something without god intervening or giving them strength. That would be like me claiming I can only talk to hot chicks at a bar when I'm drunk because otherwise I would be to shy. If I truly wanted to approach a hot chick, I could do it without being drunk.

Like when a recovering addict claims Jesus helped them and cured them of their addiction. Bullshit. Instead of saying "I'm a strong person who overcame a huge problem I had." no they claim Jesus guided them through it and start worshiping him and giving there money to the church every sunday. IMO the church prays on these kind of people but that can be a totally different discussion.

/end rant

Who blessed us with a brain? tsk tsk tsk...choose your words carefully doll, one is liable to mistake you for a closet believer...lol

You know, you really shouldn't judge people without first walking a mile in their shoes. I realize that you've accumulated a whole 23 years on this planet and you know all there is to know about everything ...........

give me a break

I'm sorry if you think I was in some way mocking you, but that's not the case. Personally I'm agnostic, so as far as I'm concerned it could go either way, and that certainly means I'm interested in people's personal experiences with their definition of God.

However if you think anyone who wants to know more is just looking for 'amusement' then so be it.

After many years of attending church and being around religious people I have long speculated that those who are fervent believers are just as afflicted as alcoholics.
People who are prone to addiction are the ones that fit religion perfectly. That's why so many recovering alcoholics and drug addicts fall into the vices of religion. It's nothing more than replacing one dependency with another. The weak minded need that crutch to support them.

I noticed that too. A lot of people that I know that went through a tough life or addiction say they are born again christian

Just look at how many murderers and rapists "find Jesus" in jail

Why do you think that AA has the 12 steps? It is most definitely based in religion.

I don't think that doll, like I said earlier, I wish I knew more but I don't. All I know is what I've experienced in my personal life......and it's much too hard to talk about with family, let alone post it on the internet for everybody to read....I just don't feel comfortable doing that....and even if I did, my experience isn't the absolute tangible evidence that it seems most people crave....if it was I'd probably be featured on the tonght show and have the tabloid people breaking down my doors...lol

I'm not an addict or an alcoholic and I'm not weak by any means.....what I am is naive, for thinking that people were capable of carrying on a simple civilized conversation without stooping to rude comments. ...but I shouldn't be surprised, weak minded people tend to do that.;)

Hey, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just asking you a simple question.

The supreme being of everything being known to you is an INCREDIBLE statement, is it not?

I find it more disappointing that those who choose to believe in God don't truly understand that he CANNOT answer prayers.

You would need to fully understand that if you are omnipotent (all knowing) then everything that is going to happen throughout all of time is already known, God's plan. Every decision, every thought, every action, every atrocity that will happen is known until the end of time. And if that's the case then he cannot answer a prayer or change his plan for you because he already knows the outcome. You cannot change that outcome nor do you have free will. So if you are going to believe that there is an all knowing God, know that your path was set and there is nothing you can do to change it, no matter how much you pray.

He makes himself known to anybody who opens their hearts and lives to Him.....and yes, it IS incredible.

And the "Son of Sam" was able to take commands from his neighbors possessed dog.

You can open your heart to Ra (the sun god) and believe with all your heart. And that will be as real as any other god out there. Do you not see that you believe in something because you want to believe. The only reason you believe in the God of Abraham and not Ra is because of where and when you were born. Doesn't that shake your faith at all? That your beliefs are subject to timing and placement on this little green planet.
