Gay Marriages

I honestly don't understand the problem. So many people get bent out of shape in regards to this subject. I personally don't think it's anyone elses business what someone chooses to do with their personal life.

It's really not but some people continue to insist that it is their business to make sure everyone has to follow the rules they see as "right". It's stupid and ridiculous but so are people.

Close minded asshats who have nothing better to do than bitch about something.

But the thing of it all is the fact that people are not educated, tolerance is no longer a virtue that is guaranteed, it now has to be embedded into people which is the saddest thing in the world lol

How refreshing to see everyone agree that there is nothing wrong with Gays getting married and that Gays getting married doesn't hurt anyone AND doesn't affect any Straight person's life.

On another forum I belong to, there are a few that are adament about their beliefs that it is "immoral," "perverted," "against god's words," "how do I explain IT to my children?!!," and "ruins the sanctity and tradition of marriage."

Too funny.

Just for personal research here...

Who here is religious and thinks gay marriage is fine?
Better yet, who here is religious and thinks gay marriage is wonderful and something to be cherished (just like "normal" marriage)?

Do my formerly religious beliefs count? They haven't changed. Never saw a problem with being gay or homosexual marriage, despite being raised in a baptist atmosphere.

I do not support gay marriage in the U.S.

Even free societies have the right to define themselves.

The argument of everybody should be able to do what they want and nobody can call it wrong is an early sign of noble thinking, but factually incorrect.

But that's the beauty of America. You can say it's wrong all day long... :)

My problem is with those that would deny certain people "Rights" based on religious beliefs, nothing more.

I was also raised Southern Baptist and believe that it is great when people in any society can just love one another. We have so much fighting and hate in the world and it's sad. Who do they hurt?

If a straight couple that you don't know gets a divorce....does that hurt you? Then why should it hurt you when a gay couple chooses to be together?
