I haven't read all the postings. It seems like a very popular debate. My opinion is that there are so many problems in the world for children already. I wouldn't wanna burden them with confusion of sexuality in any way to add extra trouble. The people who said they rather have gay parents than to have abusive parents do have a point but you don't expect abusive parents and gay people are also capable of being abusive.

Well in that case why dont you take the kids away from all single fathers? 2 dads are better than one! And no I am not being hostile towards you, I'm having a deep descusion, if you would like to point out any occasion where I'm being abusive to you please point it out or shut up with these rediculous comments!

there is no such thing called ridiculous comments, they are just opinions and I am sure people do worry about gay adoption or else why gay adoption is still not legal? You don't wanna encourage your kids to be gay cuz they think if it's ok for my parents to do so it would be ok for me as well.

well maybe we all need to interview some children who grew up with gay parents to really understand how they feel and all cuz right now we are just guessing really.

Yeah Magic_P, and maybe we should interview some kids from abusive hetro-sexual homes... I bet they'd still prefer to be beaten up daily than having to live with gay parents, right?

Seriously, all a kid needs is love... and any combination of parents can provide that love. Would it not be better for any orphan to have a home with 2 loving parents, even if they are of the same sex, than to live out their life without ANY parents to love them?

Seriously, nuture not what determines sexuality. It's not just something you decide to do.

I think two mums and two dads can do the job of a mixed couple but it's further on in life when they get to school that it could be unfair and soul destroying for the child as school life can be quite cruel.

Also they will learn that a kid can't be made by two dads or two mums and will want answers.

Difficult situations can be too hard on a young mind - so all in all a mix couple is more stable for me.

I dont think gay couples sit down and think "Hmmm, how can we force this child to be homosexual!?" at night.
