Depressed again are you Minor? What a humorless life you must lead. Grow up.
If you did not act like a jerk, some might say the typical ugly American, you would not get called on it quite so often. Your words say more than your smileys can cover up.

Why wouldn't we recognize and respect them?![]()
America is a big and diverse nation, not all think the same here. Despite what you see on youtube or funny videos not all Americans are jerks and you will find many have a deep respect for military other than our own. You will be surprised much of that comes from US military.I thank you for your respect which you seem to. It just seems unfortunate that most Americans dont give a fuck or like Struass seem to belittle it. I thank you for your respect though.
Strauss doesn't respect the British? , or their military ? :24:.I thank you for your respect which you seem to. It just seems unfortunate that most Americans dont give a fuck or like Struass seem to belittle it. I thank you for your respect though.
Now who is name calling. Watch yourself would hate to see get banned for your lack of maturity. BTW, I wasn't born in the US.
Second, just because you lack the ability to see and understand humor doesn't mean the average person does.
3rd World? I agree, judging whether a country is third world or not is a matter of perspective. From the British point of view I can see you believing that Argentina is a formidable foe.
You'd have to laugh at the French firstthere are times and places where we can all have a good laugh and take the piss out of each others military prowess.
Why don't we start a vietnam thread and I can laugh at all the fucking losers who went over there and got there asses kicked, and laugh at the USA.
:eek The French had their asses handed to them at Dien Ben Phu and withdrew completely. If that's a victory, then the US won too!not really, since vietnam is technically a french country, and they won.... *whistles*

If you do a little self examination you might find your response a bit humorous considering it comes from the forum participant with the highest percentage of JK smileys per post. I did not call you a jerk, I said you're acting like a jerk. There is a difference. Either you have a mean sense of humor, or you use smileys to mitigate purposely saying hurtful things, because you use humor primarily to belittle others.
Now there is another possibility. When someone like Peter Parka wants to do a tribute thread to soldiers and one of your responses is:
Maybe your good buds with Peter, and this is just good natured joking around. But it's not the first time you've put someone down based on where they are from, specifically in your words a "second rate country". And being on the receiving end of your barbs with lots of smileys tacked on, it feels like your tactic is to say exactly what you want to , then pile on the smileys to make it seem like a joke. I also admit that text communications as compared to other forms of face to face communications has its limits and its misunderstandings. Maybe I'm wrong and your just one big happy guy who likes teasing incessantly.![]()

Actually just find any thread about the Iraq war. If I started one to thank the soldiers who have died there, including British, I'd get a rash of negative posts--in fact by some of the same people arguing here to leave this as an honor the military thread. Its good sometimes to see what its like with the shoe on the other foot!
My personal view is that any soldier that has died for his/her country should be honored and politics left out of such threads that honor these people.
So again--I raise my glass to all the British soldiers that have died defending their country, regardless of which war or how such war is perceived poltically! :thumbup
Strauss doesn't respect the British? , or their military ? :24:.
He is a jerk but .. oh well ..never mind it would probably be lost on you guys .
Actually, this thread is a great example of the concept that is something is said by enough people after awhile people believe it. I didn't see Strauss insult or belittle British troops and he's pointed out he was born in Great Britain for Christsakes. If you go back and re-read all the posts you'll see that his post was completely misinterpeted.
No problem whiteboy .Thanks for the support buddy. :thumbup![]()
No problem whiteboy .
I have to say if this thread is all about .>>> " thread to the honour of the troops, no matter what flag is stitched on their uniforms." --- then hooray !
A hooray thread for dead soldiers , Argentinian , and British is cool , but a little limited as far substance .
Shame on you for being a wise ass ! .>f
Your points were on the mark.Yeah I need to be lectured on patriotism by a Cuban refugee.![]()
I suspect my points were to deep for the learned members here, so it goes.![]()
