Chill out man, notice the smiley at the end? It was a joke. Us English have a very piss taking sense of humour, why do you think we gave you the Beckhams. Have another beer and a nice big spliff, will help you dude. ;)

I would rather eat brownies than light up. there is something special about them. talk about melting in your stomach.

only did that once,, before a Roxy Music concert 30 years ago. what a trip that was

Some people are tricked by the apparantly "safe" drugs i would like to add too.

I always hear about how weed is perfectly safe, I would disagree, set aside the later mental health problems which divides some opinion (although I have no reason to see why prolonged usage wouldn't cause later mental health problems) I've seen so many people go "off the rails" and fuck their immediate life up because they want to smoke up all day.

It's addicitive the feeling you get off pot, and because it's branded as being "safe", it hides behind this facade and cons lots of users.

Disclaimer: I do smoke weed, sometimes regularly, most of the time not so.

on "killing" brain cells...

If you want to get really technical, there's not really anything that you can ingest, inhale, administer, etc. that actually destroys a brain cell to the point where it's dead. There are all sorts of toxins that effect brain cell function (some permanent - some temporary) and can reduce functionality or cause atrophy, but that's about it. The only things that really destroy cells in the brain or brain matter are tumors, cancer, and physical trauma (and radiation counts as physical trauma - it's just so small that it's not visible to the naked eye). Kinda depends on how you define "killing" brain cells.

And the only thing that sets the ganja apart from other drugs is that the active ingredient is non-toxic. It's actually unique in that way. Even caffeine is toxic. You have to consume lots, but it can poison you. The herb can't poison you, but it can still impair judgement, giving one the ability to kill themselves in all sorts of stupid ways - just like any other drug.

The "high" sensation, is actually attributed to the lobe separation of the brain at the height of the session.

The danger is receptor damage when the lobes reconnect fully.

Neither alcohol or those LEGAL drugs which a large part of the population thnks are safe are really safe.

All drugs have their side effects, just because one is legal (tobacco and alcohol) doesn't mean they are safe! Let me correct that statement:

Just because they are packaged, mass produced and TAXED doesn't mean they are any less harmful than those that are not legal.

they may have though to have no negative effect on the human body at some point but i think research as pretty much established that that point is an invalid one.

this is why I say: legalize, package and tax grass, people would pay just as good as a high price for a pack of Nothern Mexico's finest as they pay for Marlboro's smokes. :D

:homo: At least take it out of the hands of gangs and make more money through tax and not having to prosecute and jail people for drugs. Lets face it, as an adult you should be responsible for making your own mind up about this and it also makes it harder for kids to get it if it's legalised with an age limit (ok, I know they could still get it but drug dealers dont give a shit about ages when selling the stuff)

I have smoked pot once in my life (if 3 hits count??) and drink occasionally but not much when I do! I usually drink maybe one beer a week or so...

other than that none for me... if I get tested with anything in my system I lose my nursing license so even if I wanted to I can't!
