Basically a few things.

Have you ever taken drugs? If so, why?

If not what do you think about people that have/do?

I have taken drugs on two occasions. Both on nights out, socialising, not to say that makes it ok to do, it doesn't, but i can say that they were both 4 years ago now, and i haven't taken any since. This being said, i didn't really have any responsibilites towards anyone (i.e being a parent).

I may sound hypocritical here, but i hate people who take drugs if they have responsibilities to others (like the aformentioned parent situation) and i hate drug cheats in Sport.

This might be in the wrong place, sorry in advance if it is.

I've smoked pot about a dozen times (at tops) and eaten some of the ol' Amsterdam Cake too.

I really really enjoy it, but I can only really relax and do this if I'm somewhere away from the kids. I have never had any "at home".

I actually never even tried it till I was 25, and only did it because (a) I wanted to try and (b) it was convenient as a woman that lived close by always had some.

Pills or shooting up, I just couldn't do.

Coke........erm, I do kinda want to give it a go, but I think it's one of those things I likely never will.

As for what I think of people who do? I'm not in any position to pass judgement on people.

Personally, I have nothing for grass, or any of the other narcotics.

I tried grass in high school, and honestly didn't see what the big deal was, laughed, got hungry....Went to sleep
Sex has the same effect and it's always readily available and legal.

However, pot, why not just go ahead and legalize it?

I mean fuck, if anything the cartels in mexico will have to find legitimate jobs....Probably here

I've done most drugs under the sun, most I really really enjoy. Some I know I enjoy too much so I don't take them at all, or very rarely.

It's perfectly easy to be a recreational drug user and not go off the rails, it's just about knowing when you enjoy certain drugs too much.

Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Hydrocodone, any kind of pain medication and for a while anything i got my hands on

I was raised right by my momma, but as i got older i decided i wanted to try anything (drugs) at least once for kicks... No shame on that. Ive tried a lot of them and honestly the only one i miss is grass. But nobody can tell me you cant try things once and never touch it again, I have.

No, Im not bragging, no im not proud but neither am I ashamed... I was young and wanted to see what the fuzz was about.

To be honest Ive never really had an interest in any of it in several yrs, and now Im a parent and Ive got a decent professional job, so no neex to put that at risk over a few minutes of ill-self gratitude.

i have never done any drugs and dont really plan on it, at least not until i retire... most jobs i've had required strict adherence to drug rules... navy, sheriff's office.... not so much publix...

I don't judge anyone who has tried/used/uses, at all.

all I can say is that drugs are destroying my nephew's family, he smokes MJ and he was caught and he is being deported (they took his residence away) they have 3 kids... and now everything is fucked up because of tha nasty habit.

Made listening to music the absolute best. And it helped me get to sleep.

Did coke a half dozen times over 25 years ago. I can see how it is addictive.

Did some uppers a handfull of times. That shit with booze was an interesting buzz.

I can live without any of them. Now alcohol is another story. I do like to have a few pops.

As to those that think because they can take or leave drugs please do not assume an addict is an addict by choice. Their is something in them which is entirely different from the rest who can take em or leave em.

Not that it is part of this thread but I wish we would decriminalize drugs and legalize pot. This war on drugs is a about as winnable as me beating Bobby Fisher at chess in his hey day. Never gonna end and the resources spent are absurd with no signs of it doing anything to make matters better and instead fuels a drug culture with the young and poor where they see it as there way to easy money

I have smoked pot. It was never something I did every day, or even once a month, it was one of those once in a blue moon thing.

I've never taken any other drugs. The only other drug I have wanted to try, but probably never will is X. I was going to take it with an ex of mine but it never happened.

Ah yes... drugs and me. Never met a drug I didn't like. Pretty much tried them all - some more (a lot more) than others. I've even abused some drugs most people don't think of as having abuse potential. I've also self-administered some drugs in relatively creative ways.

Been to rehab three times. Guess that makes me an expert... or something else enitrely.

I have smoked pot... and done one or two other things once... but one was my gf at the time gave me what i thought was aspirin and it wasn't and the other I was drunk and didn't know wtf I was thinking and will never associate myself with ppl who do harder drugs than weed ever again.

Funny thing is, the only drug which has given me any real problems is alcohol which is the one which is legal, go figure. I can honestly say, with the exception of heroin, alcohol is probably the most dangerous drug I know of.

Ganja is my choice of drug, but obviously to get high i tried a few other things. I didn't care for the hard stuff...didn't do anything for me....never shot up or took that meth shite...and as far as i know i've not done acid.

...that was 13 years ago... now a days, the only time i've had a smoke was...well last time was two summers ago out at the cottage with the rest of the neighbouring cottagers, all sat 'round the camp fire on the beach, with beer in our hands. Lovely relaxing night, guitar being played, police chief there and a few of the officers.thumbup... all safe.Loads of fun!

BUT since i had my son i really do stay clear of it...the beach party at our cottage was so rare and no kids were around and with the police involved i didn't worry.

Now saying all this, i don't agree with it...reason being: it takes me a good month to get over it when i have allowed myself into the fold, as it slows your brain down...or it does me in for that month afterwards....the old saying of it kills your brain cells is true for me, so I keep away from it. I don't care to sound like a stoner.:ninja

I've had my drink spiked before too...not sure what it was...but the trees, as i walked home, talked to me and the vibrant colours...wow!...all the Elk had something to say as well...i laughed the walk home...i was a very stupid 23 year old, who had left her drink alone with two guys i soon found out i could not trust...nothing happened to me that night as i left before the drug had kicked in, but it kicked in on the way home...i woke up the next morning fully clothed on my bed...i don't recall making it all the way home....anyway that was the LAST time i let myself get into a stupid situation and since...as i have said, i stay clear of it... i don't want shit for brains.

really because i heard the same thing about alcohol slowing down brain cells. I'm NOT a heavy drinker. Don't go letting people think I drink every damn day.
