What does California's deficit have to do with this thread? In fact, how should the problems of one state trump issues that affect the entire nation? Quit regurgitating shit you see on someone's blog and hoping it's relevant.LMAO, fix the calif deficit first before talking abt prolonged detention and another stimulus package.
LMAO. I was waiting for your response. A big state like Cali is as bad as nations of similar size going bankrupt. Solve your domestic problems first before imposing double standards on the foreign detainees. The rest of the world wont just sit by and watch the big bully. There will be repurcussions. What does California's deficit have to do with this thread? In fact, how should the problems of one state trump issues that affect the entire nation? Repercussions? Please, tell me in detail what the rest of the world is going to do about California's financial situation or our treatment of the detainees. Both of these problems have been going on for several years, and I haven't seen any serious worldwide repercussions.LMAO. I was waiting for your response. I can understand your anger especially when a non-american is debating on such issues. You just got to swallow your pride.Repercussions? And for the record, I've said that the "double standards on the foreign detainees" is wrong and immoral.
:24: Anger? Hell, I think it's hilarious that you're threatening worldwide repercussions that are obviously unfounded and baseless. :24:I can understand your anger especially when a non-american is debating on such issues. You just got to swallow your pride.
Thats your opinion and I respect your opinion.:24: Anger? Hell, I think it's hilarious that you're threatening worldwide repercussions that are obviously unfounded and baseless. :24:
We have in Singapore what is known as Internal Security Act which spells out detention without trial and thats solely for our citizens. The answer to your question is pretty obvious if you have read my posts. So, kelvin, you're okay with Obama's keeping prisoners even if a trial doesn't convict them of a crime?
I seen your kind of typical responses in many threads. Its typical of people in the legal profession.Nothing is obvious from reading your posts. Could you do me the kindness of answering a direct question with a direct answer, please? I promise it isn't a trap and I won't carry it further than simply thanking you.

I agree. The best responses I'm getting where I go is basically "Hey, he promised trials. We got trials. He kept his promise. Obama be praised." :yukIt is amazing the liberals are not up in arms about this.
Guess it is another instance where the mantra of Change was just a big old Obama lie
A teacher can also specialize in legal framework. We are not a free country like USA, so we dont suscribe to the American way.:24: I'm a teacher. You're a paranoid swizzle stick and coward.
Back to the subject, I'm sure that holding political prisoners may be the norm in Singapore, but it goes against what we consider The American Way.
For all his faults, and they were many, Bush wasn't a hypocrite. He considered the terrorists in Gitmo as prisoners of war and treated them as such. Obama claims they deserve all the rights we have in the US, but he's not following through on it. I hate hypocrites.Funny, never saw Republicans here up in arms about political prisoners being held without trial and tortured when Bush was in power. Whatever suits your agenda I guess. Obama out!
Good. Now we're getting somewhere. I teach special education, so I'm familiar with your style. We think it's a very big deal indeed when our president shows disrespect and disdain for our legal system. Our culture places the citizen above the government. Completely foreign concept for you, I'm sure, but that's us.A teacher can also specialize in legal framework. We are not a free country like USA, so we dont suscribe to the American way.
Thanks. I am learning from you guys. If thats the case Obama will be out of office in no time.Good. Now we're getting somewhere. I teach special education, so I'm familiar with your style. To put on a farce of a trial, while never intending to honor the decisions of that trial, is grounds to toss the president out of office. I only wish our legislature honored our constitution to do their duty.
