It is called punishment. If you cannot see the difference between a killer breaking into a home and strangling somebody to death for their own sick reasons with a government executing that criminal for murder, then you truly do not understand the difference between right and wrong.
It is fine if you are against the death penalty, I am too but for a completely different reason. My reason is because an innocent person might get executed.
I do not for a second pretend a cold blooded murder by a killer is equivalent to a state execution of said killer. I do not have such low respect of victims of crime and frankly I am surprised and shocked you do.

You want punishment, but what should really be applied is justice. Two very different things.

I'm surprised and shocked that you think killing someone back for killing isn't hypocritical in every conceivable way possible.

this is very much my point of view too.

behavioural scientists will tell you that punishment doesnot work,and in our societies punishment is simply vengence.

behavoiur is learned and can only change by being replace by another behaviour.
or the person is menataly ill or has a personality/psychotic disorder

i have already expressed my opinions and beliefs about capital punishment before elsewhere.

altho my natural instinct is to reap revenge especially in a case such as this,i know that that is wrong
 
My view - If someone gets put in prison for the rest of their life, what harm can they do, other than to other scumbags? Lock em up for life, no one is blood guilty and every one is SAFE!;) Oh, and getting a needle in your arm is a lot more soft that getting locked up for the rest of your natural life, so don't even give me the "You're being soft here!" shit!
