Mr Men
Roald Dahl
and Dr. Suess.

Dr. Suess, imho was a genius, I re-read his books and was absolutely amazed, similarly with Roald Dahl . Especially with the latter, James and the Giant Peach. That book (and the film) are fantasmic .

I loved the "Choose Your own adventure" story books when I was a kid.

And when I hit pre-teens: Tolkien novels.

I had to read that book in fifth grade. I remember as a project, I made a lunch box alarm like the kid in the book did. It was epic, I got an A.

and I would do voices for the different charcters

they always scored ridiculously high in reading and comprehension levels

I went through a reading phase where I read all the Goosebumps books I could. Then I stopped reading books haha.
Now I read the news and research every little thing I can think of at the time I'm thinking it. haha That's enough reading for me.

I don't have the creative mind to get into novels anymore.
