I did hear a rumour that he donates to organisations with an anti-gay agenda. How true that is, I don't know.

This is my cousin's reason for no longer spending her money at Chick-fil-a. I have not put in the effort to confirm it yet, as I don't eat fast food very often anymore anyway, but if I locate confirmation I will stop spending my money there as well.

Frankly I feel sorry for anyone who works in a fast food joint period.

Actually, as far as fast food places go, Chick-fil-a is one of the best ones to work at. They take good care of their employees and even offer a scholarship program. I enjoyed my employment there.

are you guys going to stop buying gas since oil companies are linked to countries that stone gay people to death

Can you live your day to day life normally if you stop buying gas??? Because I know I can if I stop buying Chick-fil-a (which, again, I very rarely purchase these days anyway).

Trust me, if mass transit was available where I lived, I'd love to be able to stop buying gas!!!

We have a few of these "Religious Own Family Restaurants" where young women who are not married but live common law, get pregnant or are found to be gay they are fired on the spots for "not meeting basic requirements of employment". Their way to get around the law in saying "To bad, so sad, but you no longer meet the job requirement". When the individual restaurants get found out for doing these misdeeds they usually pay a price.

Moral values only talk so much in these types of issues until it starts to interfere with the bottom line.. You never see a "Moral Value" fight without a handout being asked for more support from either side which really bothers me as this makes both equally guilty.

I much rather do, act upon by not buying, than talk.

Gosh what did we ever do before all these places ever existed.. :p

Free speech is supposed to be free speech in the US

Yes it comes with consequences

This debate is about trying to deny one to have free speech.

IMO

So where exactly did the government try to shut him up? Free speech means the government cannot keep you from speaking... it has absolutely nothing to do with the consequences of what you say by the public.
If there is public outcry for you to shut your mouth, there is no infringement of your free speech, none.
But if the police come and shut you up, that's where your rights are infringed on.

I would think you of all people would understand what free speech means in the US.

are you guys going to stop buying gas since oil companies are linked to countries that stone gay people to death

The majority of gas in the US is from non OPEC sources...

And I guess I'll stop breathing as well since the air I breath is shared with these same people.

Is the stance taken by the Chicago and another mayor where they say they will not allow a store in their city a form of restricting speech?
