It was NOT named tea due to taxed enough already.
Granted while it is about taxation...the "tea" stems back to the boston tea party..where we just got fed up with taxes.
While you may find current reference to taxed enough already..it was a matter of coincidence and happened after its launch
The current tea party has never been about a tax revolt....but accountable spending no more no less.

And seriously you can not take one wage tax bracket and use that to say taxes are lower.
That is one fucking tax.
Tax is all taxes combined.
The govt get its revenue from taxes and tariffs.
Since god damn spending is higher than ever in god damn fucking history...to say that taxes are lower than they ever have been is simply an ignorant statement.

The legislation was already in place...but again it is just one figure.

how many times does it have to be pointed out that there was a ton of write offs

The rich pay about the same amount with the lower rates. Otherwise there would have been a massive drop in revenue in the 80's

It is a shell game the govt plays. They make you think you are getting a tax break when it is revenue neutral.
