:clap My mother and I went thinking the store opened at 8pm when we were told otherwise we left and so did a few others. Some girl shouted at me, someone I knew by name asking me if I was leaving already. I told her yes because they don't open til 12am. I think she thought maybe I was coming back at 12 LOL. I'll do some shopping with my mother tomorrow but nothing too hardcore. I want to check out a local consignment shop with who I consign with to see the Black Friday deals they've got going on.

Actually what I can't help but wonder is how much money these people get paid an hour and what their time is really worth to themselves.

Wasting 24 hours of your life to stand in line better be a killer of a deal IMO.

And if the store is locked, where do they go to the bathroom?

And yeah, I want to be in front of the line when the doors open up and the mob rushes in.

Can someone explain to me, as if I'm 5 years old, why people can't just shop online like I do rather than sit outside a shop waiting for it to open?

Walmart was having a sale
A bargain I thought I could nail
But once in the store
I was knocked to the floor
By a person the size of a whale.

Walmart has something we "need"
To get it we're willing to bleed
The stampeding masses
Are out kicking asses
Our downfall is now guaranteed

That's how I do a lot of my Christmas shopping but I do go to the stores for some things. I'm learning to simplify my life, not make it more chaotic. I did Black Friday one time and once was enough to make me see that it wasn't for me.

Black Friday- a day invented by retailers to sucker the average consumer to get in their shops and spend, spend, spend

Not that I agree with camping for Black Friday at all but at least theres a chance of actually achieving something by camping out to get a deal... Camping for democracy and justice... Gets you what exactly? What did all the Occupy's accomplish? Don't get it twisted I'm not condoning greed and the primal urge to punch someone in the face for the last HD Flat Panel :24:

There's a sucker born every minute. That's why I did all my shopping today in consignment & Goodwill.

JUST IN: Five mothers, three toddlers, a baby and a small pony have been rushed to a hospital near a Walmart in Texas after a stampede of greedy Americans trampled these folks in a mad dash towards the isle where a $1 door stopper was being offered. China's president has sent his condolences but also a huge thanks for the jump in wealth created for his country in a single day by our incredibly unnecessary and stupid consumerism. In other related news charities are also reporting an all time low in donations or empathy from America today.
