There is a line outside Walmart right now. Apparently Maine's Blue Laws prohibit Walmart from opening at 8PM few people unaware of this left, but there was still a line with people in folded seats waiting for midnight... :tooth

There have been people waiting in lines outside of stores for a least a week or more now.

We have extra officers out tonight stationed at multiple businesses. Last year a woman pepper-sprayed other shoppers in Wal-mart over a sheet set.
If that's how people want to spend their time, I guess that's their right...but there's no deal that would outweigh spending Thanksgiving w/ family and friends, IJS

There is no deal that will get me within 20 miles of a store before Monday. They messed up my one prescription on Tuesday and after getting it right with the pharmacy I told them I will cut the wrong ones in half till Monday.

To be honest, I have no desire to participate in Black Friday shopping...but I have found myself thinking that it would be kind of fun to camp out on the sidewalk w/ others. :dunno But I'll stick to camping in the woods instead.

Driving home from dinner at my sister's a short time ago we passed a Target and a Walmart. Lines were around the building. Why anyone would want to spend Thanksgiving, or any other day actually, like that is beyond me.
Oh and Natasha, before online concert tickets, I'm sure there are more than a few of us here that slept out on the sidewalks waiting for Ticketron/Ticketmaster to open. But that is much much different and it was way more fun than waiting for a stupid Walmart to open.

Black Friday can actually be quite fun! I've gone out at 2 in the morning and waited til I could get my stuff. In the mean time you usually meet new people and enjoy making new friends. Of course, there are some places that can be dangerous, but I've never experienced it. I actually know some people that will go camp outside Best Buy a few days before Black Friday and they always have a blast.
I don't plan to do any shopping this year for Black Friday, but if others are able to spend the time waiting then that's their right.

Ahh, I gotcha. I'm having some blonde moments lately so I thought maybe I didn't say it correctly, LOL Nice use of "darlin'" though...it's one of my favorite terms of endearment.
