The whole point of having an intelligence agency is to know what's going on anywhere in the world. But if they fabricate intell, then they completely contradict the point of having an intelligence agency.

Sadam was not cooperating, nor sticking with the sanctions. He broke them and broke them and broke them and broke them. UN doesn't uphold sanctions with consequences. The US does.

Are you aware of their history? Overthrowing foreign powers, kidnapping people, assassinating foreign leaders, fishy money exchanges, torture, holding [people without charge....there are plenty of credible books on it all, mostly from people who worked within the CIA.
