I know this is about Bill Gates but Warren the Buffoon Buffet said he did not pay enough taxes.

Turns out he likes to get tax breaks for his business interests and will spend considerable money lobbying for them.

What a flipping hypocrite.

Your point? He's saying that he doesn't get taxed enough. It's well within his power to donate more money to the federal government if he truly believes that. I'm not discounting his philanthropy, but my point still stands.

Just to support this point, I found this news story. If this retiree can find a few extra bucks to donate on his own, surely multi-billionaires can scrape up one or two without Uncle Sam taking it from them.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I think you've hit the nail on the head. Look at the amount of tax money the federal gov't spends on what could arguably be called charity. If we cut all of that in favor of letting actual charities (and/or state & local gov't) do it, and then cut the military spending to actual national defense, we may not need an income tax at all.
