This topic brings to mind that a large percentage of those with big breasts would like them a tad smaller.... those with small breasts would like them a tad bigger.
Kinda like a guy and his penis too I suppose.

That's kinda stupid. what if say you "elect" to have eye surgery and something goes wrong? I'm being hypothetical....There should be laws on the books against suing when you 'elect' to have surgery. Just my opinion.

Dana... sometimes things just go wrong. Life goes wrong at times. So, does that mean that someone has to be blamed or sued? Remember the saying... "Shit happens"? Same thing in medicine... some times shit happens.

If they're on the cutting end of the knife, yeah... when you do work on another person, or on their belongings, they're trusting you to do a job right, and if you fuck it up, yes you should be held accountable for that. I can't even believe this isn't sinking in...
It is sinking in. We're simply on different pages. Let's say the surgeon does everything perfectly, but your body rejects whatever procedure is being done. It's the Doctor's fault?

You need to prove negligence on the part of the doctor to win a suit like that. Sure, you can spend a shit load of money to lose a case like that, but seriously, if the doctor wasn't at fault, you aren't going to win a suit. And in your scenario, you won't even get a penny of settlement from the insurance company.
You make it sound like if something happens to you, you can sue the doctor. You need to show negligence and that's harder than you think.
Everyone talks about suing doctors, do you know how rare that actually happens? Very, when you are talking about the sheer volume of patients.

[I haven't read all the posts in this thread yet] but my opinion is that I don't think she should get them. I'm only a 12A...and I am so not ever getting breast implants. The thought of having my boobs cut open and the healing process, etc. I read an article somewhere in a magazine, some woman recently had her implants removed after 10 or so years because they leaked and they were causing her pain. Her boobs had grown while she had the implants anyway.
I could never put myself through that.
I think you need to reassure her that she doesn't need bigger boobs to feel good and that you'd rather them small. If the issue is deeper though I would go see someone maybe.
The bigger they are the harder it is on your back. Ive always wanted a reduction but wont do it for the fact that you live with what you have.
On the other hand if this is something she wants to do being her husband you need to support her decision even if it means this is something you feel strongly about, perhaps come to an agreement she gets one size instead of two something like that.
I get that its hard to have to deal with something like this but no matter how much you tell her she cannot do it she will want to do it more make sense?
Oh i totally wrote this without reading the whole thing... ignore my post if its got nothing to do with anything except the original post LOL
Nah, it's relevant. And she's not going overly huge, she wants to go up to like a C. The biggest problem I've been having is that she's so numb to my feelings at all. I'm not asking her to change her mind, I just want her to think further into it than, "I want it and that's what matters." She's my wife and I'll back her up, and I'll be understanding when it comes to her self confidence or whatever, but in turn, I'm her husband, and she should be just as aware and sympathetic to MY feelings, it is a marriage after all.
You just want the same reassurance that she's thinking of you also right?
I guess giving her personality (as described), you may not be verbalizing your feelings... she may feel like you are talking at her, rather than 'to' her.
Tell her in earnest, that you aren't talking her out of it, just that you want her to make sure she was addressed all outcomes of having this done. Ask her to treat it like she would a surgery a doctor said she needs (for whatever reason). would she just follow the Doctor's advice blindly? or would she look into it deeply. Ask friends/family who have had it done, looked into cost/quality of facility, ask the Dr for clients testimonies, look into payment options., etc.
Above all else, know the exact reason why she wants it. Just because... isn't a very good reason to do anything drastic. Maybe buy the jelly implants for her to wear in her bra for a few months/year as a test, to be sure the size difference does improve her self image.
This is a permanent surgery in the sense that if a few months later she doesn't like it, complications arise, the Doctor won't take them back for free.
