It ultimately comes to down to you know her better than any of us do. You're the one who will know if she's doing it for something inside of her or if she's seeking outside attention. You'll know if she's likely to change. (And I don't know what y'all's bank accounts look like, but what are the odds of her completely transforming her wardrobe after paying for this surgery?)

Here's some food for thought, too: You said you aren't much of a boob guy. Do you give them a lot of attention when y'all are intimate? Or do you just kind skip that step and move on to other things? Because if you're passing it by, that *could* have something to do with her having insecurities. Maybe the next time you get the chance, spend a little extra time focusing on them.

Actually they get a TON of attention because I know she likes that... they probably get more attention than any other region (barring of course the obvious one).

With that being said, if chill's wife would feel better about herself with larger breasts, then why not help her feel better about herself? Implants aren't the real issue here as far as what I'm reading...

I can see some of the arguments here about the wife or S/O going out and having affairs AFTER the augmentation but really, isn't that already in place? What I mean is, isn't that part of the gray matter already thinking that from long before? There could be other things in place here that a breast augmentation could flame, but I know several strong marriages that were healthy and stayed in place after the augmentation. I think the bottom line is "healthy relationship" here.

When a woman gives a vaginal birth to a baby, the OB will typically go in and tighten it up a little, down there. I think it's called a "lovers knot." It does not mean that mommy is going out and giving it a test run on random men.

When a woman wants a tummy tuck after losing a lot of weight or just wants her curves back, it does not mean that she's going to go out and have an affair.

When a woman goes out and gets her ass tightened up, again, it does not mean she is going to have an affair.

I think it happens to be this way with boob jobs as well. It just depends on the relationship and how secure both parties are. If the insecurity is already in place, for BOTH parties, something is wrong and needs to be addressed before any cutting takes place.

Agreed Tara... and she's going to do this shit whether we're happy or not, so I guess I better try harder. That's what I'm getting out of this whole conversation. I need to be working harder at it than I have been I guess.

The only surefire way for you to try harder and to succeed is to ASK her what more you can do. Otherwise you could just exhaust yourself spinning your wheels and going nowhere fast.

Yeah.. I'll just have to shower a little more affection on her. She's a high maintenance woman, I know that, I guess I've just been bucking the system... she complains all the time I don't give her enough attention. It's my fault I suppose, cuz that kind of attitude annoys me, so I tend to rebel... just going to have to change my own frame of mind and carry on I suppose...

I would try to dissuade her from taking the boob job, there are health implications if it goes 'tits-up' if it all goes wrong...yeah, probably would be able to sue them, but the health is ruined...what price is that?

Plus, fake boobs dont feel near as good as real ones. Another thing, they lose quite a bit of sensativity. Woman dont get as much satisfaction from them after they job. Atleast that is what my wife and her friends say.

There should be laws on the books against suing when you 'elect' to have surgery. Just my opinion.

Yeah, maybe, but when you "elect" to have that surgery, and pay them to do it, you're paying for a good job, not a shitty one. Like buying a car, if it's a piece of shit, you'd rectify it by either suing them, or making them fix the problems at no charge to yourself, but you still ELECTED to buy the car.

Not a very good analogy there, chill. People need a car in order to work and support their families. People don't need "elective" surgery (which is precisely why insurance companies don't cover them.)

As for the car scenario... there are "lemon laws".

Depends, because some people do botch jobs on purpose/laziness

I disagree. The botch jobs aren't due to laziness or on purpose. Most of the time botch jobs are done because the Doctor isn't qualified, and some people over-do the plastic surgery gig. Take Michael Jackson for example...

yeah, I get that. The point is that whenever you ELECT to purchase ANYTHING, regardless of how frivolous or useless, you expect it to work properly, be of good quality, be intact, etc. Whether it's useless or necessary isn't the point, getting what you paid for is the point.
