Obama has fucked his health bill up beyond all recognition.
I can't believe how much he has forgotten his orginal goals.

I remember distinctly that the premise of the bill was to provide healthcare to all Americans, particularly those that couldn't afford it; in the interest of equality.
I can't believe what a fucking pointless waste of time this has been. Obama has taken a noble concept, and through his gutless and spineless attempts to appease the senate and house of represtitives he has presented forth a solution that makes the problem worse...

Which I believe is exactly what he wants. It's SOP for the power-hungry. Gov't creates a problem. Gov't blames scapegoat. Gov't proposes solution to problem - which always involves larger bureaucracy, more restrictive legislation, and higher taxes.

The House will make a show of making cosmetic changes before passing it. Obama will nearly break his hand in his rush to sign it into law.

Then comes the long process of fixing this problem brought about by big insurance, big medical, or big whoever they feel the need to vilify.

And you'll hardly hear a peep about the Constitution. That's that crumpled pile of paper in the corner with the footprints and piss stains on it.

Mindsets have to change. It will take generations to change cuz you guys been brain-washed by the constitution for more than 3 centuries. Any form of govt control will be a taboo or stigma to you guys.

Thats a fact and most of you guys don't even realize it.
Actually, what most of us don't realize is that we're hardly free at all, relative to our first 100 years, black people being the obvious exception. This country has never lived close to the ideals we espouse, even though we are a bastion ofl freedom relative to the rest of the world. So in a sense, we are brainwashed, just not in the way you say.

I suppose you think freedom isn't all it's cracked up to be, that it's good to let the government carry the load. I see that as you being brainwashed. I have a cat that wouldn't go outside if you removed the door and put her food on the grass. She thinks the cats that occasionally cross our yard are nuts.

Reality is that you get the best job you can and then take the insurance they offer. That's the reality
That's not my reality. Not even close actually. 4 months after I got laid off, I had 2 job offers. They were both short-term contracts for HUGE aerospace/defense companies. Neither offered insurance for contract employees, which is relatively normal. However, neither was offering more pay to make up for the lack of benefits.

Despite desperately needing the money, and I do mean desperately, I turned them both down and waited until I found a job with great benefits and decent pay. It's a trade off. Both of those companies were unwilling to make it, so I chose not to work for them. It's all about personal choice. I'm sure they found people willing to take the positions, if for no other reason than to have a big-name company on their resume. But it wasn't for me.

I've done the exact same thing before, so there's two of us here. I'm sure if there are two here on this forum that have done that, then there are a lot of people who have.
