There's nothing gay or unmanly about a bath, though I think it would be slightly odd to encounter a guy who takes only baths in lieu of showers.. Not sure why I feel that way, but I would.

Personally, I rarely take a bath - and almost never for the sake of cleaning. Something about sitting in dirty water never leaves me feeling all that clean. But, I concur with those above about the relaxing and healing nature. Overworked and sore muscles LOVE a long soak in a hot bath. And I also feel a pull towards a long soak when I'm sick.

I voted other: it's only gay if they are having sexual relations with men while in the bath tub.

Other than that, perfectly fine, I reccomend most my clients to have baths.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a guy taking a bath. Especially with a lady friend.


You could give him a nice middle finger and an f-you wrapped neatly in shiny paper with a tag from me to him, though. IF you were so inclined.

I like showers because you don't have to look out for overflowing water levels, and don't follow this stigmatising of other people, I think it is silly. If a man has no other options than to take a bath, so what? He can't help it

Aren't baths better for saving water? Sometimes due to the circumstances, a bath is the only choice. Like if you have one of those crappy bath/showers in one. I'd rather have a bath in those than shower in them.

I use a lot of water for both baths and showers. I get in the bath with the taps still running so I can fill it right up to the top (and I have quite a large bath). And when I have showers I have very very long showers. My mum usually turns off the hot water after I've been in the shower for an hour so I hurry up and get out

Yeah, I can't have a short shower. I have even longer baths. Quite a lot of the time, I fall asleep in the bath, only to wake up when my mouth and nose are filling with water. Surprised I haven't drowned. :willy_nilly:

If you take reasonable shower, (unlike Abcinthia ) you most likely use much less water than when you take a bath.

I did a quick Google search and found out that even with older models, showers only use about 6 gallons or so if running for ten minutes. Bath tubs on the other hand, if you fill them up to just 1/2 to 3/4 capacity, will use about 20 or more.
