This morning at 2am, I woke up with HORRIBLE contractions. They were about 4 minutes apart. So I went to the womens center like they instructed me to do. By the time I got there, the contractions were 2 minutes apart. I was 3 cm dilated and my contractions were reaching the 80's on the machine. They give me an antibiotic to be on the safe side in case the baby came and started me on an IV. They also got all my baby's information (like if I was circumcising, etc). After being there for 8-9 hours, the Doc FINALLY comes in and tells me that she is sending me home w/ some meds to stop contractions.. OH and my BP was super high the entire time. EVERY TIME I have seen them in the last 2 weeks, my BP has been high and they arent doing SHIT about it! The meds worked somewhat, however, I am still having contractions just not as close together. Im just so tired of this mess. I am tired of hurting all the time and I just want him here. He is in a safe range and I know he is doing good from all the tests that have been ran on him. He would be completely fine.

lol! they were planning on taking him jan 11th.. but was gonna let him come early if I started having contractions.. now they just keep putting it off.. and im worried that they wont even do jan 11th now. It would be cool for him to have 1-11-11 as his bday tho

Awww....I am so sorry to hear about this V :(

I m not very familiar with Women's center. However, I am presuming you have your own OB-Gyne MD who would know about your medical history etc and who can better decide on what to do as I am quite concerned too about your high BP and increasing contractions and the effects on your baby!? Have you followed up with your OB-Gyne MD?

How high was your BP? Were you having symptoms like nape pains. light headedness etc? Are u on any BP meds?

Sorry to hear the news but the end result will be worth it all.

Don't have the baby on the 11th though. That is a horrible day. I should know I was born on that day

I remember the last weeks of pregnancy..... they were the hardest.

When the baby drops lower and you can't get up and down very easy.

Hang in there, V. I'm sure they know what they are doing..... to avoid a lawsuit. (In other words.... they are most likely following exact protocol issued by their bosses and their legal system).

I know it sucks V, but the longer he is in there the better it will be once he is born!

Are you staying in bed still on rest? If you are active dealing with every day stuff, it could be stressing you out more than you realize. *hugs*

I already told you my thoughts earlier but yanno most people do have to wait until their due date so I guess if he does come earlier you can look at that as less time of the worst part of pregnancy for most mommies :)

The womens center is in the hospital. Its where they treat all the prego people. Yes, My doc was my doc there. They are on call - so one of the people in the practice thats working that night is the one that handles whoever comes in.

Im getting alot of headaches. My BP was 157/96 - my normal is like 118/80 or something close to that. Im not on BP meds.. Im not sure why they arent seeming like they are concerned with it

Im sure they are trying to avoid problems.. but not in my case

everyone says this and it drives me mad (no offense).. With my case, it is BETTER for Jaxon to go early. With the 2 vessel cord, the further along he goes, the less o2 goes to his brain which could cause brain problems. So Id rather them take me earlier so its safer for him to come earlier. Theyve already checked him and he would be fine to deliver now.

I am on bedrest.. but it was kindof hard to follow that during christmas time. I am gonna do better about it now tho. I didnt do too much tho. My mother in law is staying with me to take alot of the burden off of me.

tell jaxon to behave!!!! im surprised that with your BP high they are just sending you home

I agree.. I am surprised too.. I dont understand

I'll be honest, I don't know much about that sort of situation. I wanted them to take both pregnancies early due to not sleeping, back pain, random contractions, being huge, and the babies being big already... they kept saying wait. Guess it's drilled in there now...

Wasn't trying to upset you :(...

Can you just tell the doc take him then? If they say his lungs are good?
