If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want and all that is left is a compromise.

Abigail Elisabeth Karraker is the purest form of joy on this Earth.

Her smile lights up a room. Her laugh is completely infectious. She's always happy to see you when you walk through the door.

Nothing brings more happiness to my life than seeing her after a long day and having her run across the house, arms out, yelling "mommy!". Except when we say our goodnights at night and she tells me she loves me.

This is why I wanted to be a parent, this is what I always wanted to do with my life. Nothing makes me happier than being a mom. And nothing else makes me feel like I mean something, like I matter, like I am doing something right and good and meaningful in this world.

That all said, I love my daughter more than life itself. And I can't wait for that degree so that I can have another one. Hopefully a boy this time. :)

I think my grandfather might die.

I'm beginning to think that maybe that's just what needs to happen anyways....

As hard as that is to say.

Why am I upset?

Oh, that's right. Because my team is only definitely playing two more games here and I can't go to either because of school.

Amongst other things.

Fucking people are so fucking dense and so FUCKING selfish.

My back is breaking from bending over backwards for people. EVERY one. And I'm done.

Every day I get a little bit stronger.

So watch your fucking back.

Whew. I got that out of my system.

Now I'm ready to focus on me, my daughter, my grandfather, and my brothers. Really, they're the only people that matter right now.

I've come to the realization lately that my innate ability to need to help people is rubbish. Even when people call me and are looking for help, they don't want it. They don't want it or don't listen, or simply don't care. I can count two people who legitimately want my help and like coming and talking to me. I suppose I shall have to find another way of doing things.

Anyways, I'm out of here!! James has a half-day today and we're spending time together. Fresh start.

Tough times sure do show you who your true friends are. Who the people are that you can truly count on.

Unfortunately, it's not many.

As long as I don't slack off, I can have my Associates of Arts degree next spring!

I need 28 credits, so if I do 14-15 credits both semesters, I'm all done! I did it my first semester of school, taking 5 classes. It shouldn't be too bad.

I'm also still KIND of considering taking a class or two over the summer. But, I've got a lot going on right now. And I don't know that financially, I can really do it.

We'll see, though.

I can't believe it. At the age of 23, I will FINALLY have my AA!! Most of my friends are working on their masters right now, but that's okay! I wouldn't have even gone back to college if it hadn't been for my daughter. So graduating at all is a feat for me.

Sounds like a nice full schedule, and sorry to hear about Grandpa. :(

Thanks. It's for the best, though. He fell about 8 years ago and shattered a bunch of bones in his face. He's been sick and in pain and battling cancer ever since. We're all just glad he's free from pain now.

Often watching loved ones suffer is 100x harder then seeing them go, and be pain free.

I'm still sorry for your loss. Grandparents are the best.
