The bottom 50% in the United States earns <$33,048. Also, the bottom 50% earns only 12% of all income earned. That's not a whole lot of income left over to tax. And as Tim said they DO pay income taxes all year long, in addition to state, local, sales, ad valorem, and other taxes.

By contrast, the top 1% earns over 20% of all income. That's not including capital gains - the wealthiest Americans take small salaries and huge capital gains to avoid paying the marginal tax rate. They only have to pay 15% that way. Plus, all income over $106,800 is exempt from Social Security taxes.

Whatever you say bud. You involved my family in your bullshit argument, and that's absolutely unacceptable. What you had to say was completely out of line and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt just what kind of person you are. You do NOT involved people's families in debates when you're otherwise incapable of proving your point. As I've said on numerous occasions, I have no issue telling people how it is and handing out negative rep... and what you had to say more than fucking deserved it. You get to be welcomed to a club as well... the club where people whine publicly about negative rep and come across as nothing more but petulant little children. :thumbup
