I'm so fucking sick of Pat Hill's play calling. While Brady Hoke was having Denard Robinson lead Michigan down the field for not one, but two TDs in the last two minutes against Notre Dame, Pat Hill was busy running the ball up the middle and then punting with under two minutes in ours. He fucking gave up... Carr was fucking livid with him on the sideline too... hell, he was pissed at the receivers that kept dropping passes, the OC for calling shitty plays, and just about everything. Our secondary was abysmal... when you let Taylor fucking Martinez throw for over 200 yards against you, with two of those completions for 40+ yards, you know you've got a serious fucking issue.

0-2 going into our home opener against North Dakota... then to Idaho, and then home for Ole Miss and Boise. With the way we're playing, I'm expecting us to be 2-4 after that stretch. We've got no chance of beating Boise, and even Ole Miss is gonna be rough. We were beating the fucking #10 team in the country nearly all night long, and then we had bad plays on defense, and Hill decided to take 10 minutes to march down the field for a FG when we were down by two scores.

The Niners looked really good yesterday. Even the defense was good. Ted Ginn was a complete beast too, back to back TD's. :thumbup

It would've been nice for Ginn to have played that way when he was a Dolphin. But when he played for us, he avoided anything even resembling contact with another player, so he had all of one kick return for a TD, and very few long pass completions over his career with us.

It took Hoke a while to wake up to the fact that he has the best runner in America playing QB though. That offense stunk until the 4th quarter. Robinson threw like he did last year and not like he did last week. He does have a pretty strong arm as he showed when he threw that long pass with the defense holding his ankles.

Notre Dame should have won though. They played the better game. They just got out coached. Once again maybe ND has hired a coach that they thought was their savior but aint. There is no savior for ND other than to loosen up their requirements for admission. Which is fine by me. I hate ND, MSU and OSU :D

In Hoke's defense, this is his first season there... and he had a pocket passer at STDSU in Lindley. I don't know if he's actually ever had a mobile QB, either at Ball State or STDSU. I'm just hoping that he has a firm handle on what his team can do by the time STDSU comes to visit them... I'd love to see them mop the floor with the Asstecs. Their one successful season since the Ford Administration has them all uppity, and it's time they get put back in their place.

I don't know what the hell was wrong with our defense last night... we were 6th best in the league last year, and then we left Welker, el al open all night on slants. I bet Sparano and company are wishing that we made a play for Asomugha. Of course, it didn't really help matters any when Sean Smith injured his leg and lost a step for the rest of the game.

But, I'll take this from the game... Henne was money. He threw for 416 yards, which was nearly as many as Brady before the 99yd pass to Welker that they got lucky on. I was also impressed by the fact, even though I didn't like it, that he was also our leading rusher. Maybe this was his coming out game, even though it came in a loss. Brandon Marshall probably had his best game as a Dolphin, and we were able to get him into one on one coverage a number of different times and just let him make a play. Bess was great as usual, and it's still amazing to me that he went undrafted... though we probably wouldn't have gotten him otherwise, so it worked out well for us. While I was disappointed by Reggie Bush as a ball carrier, he still had nearly 100 yards from scrimmage and a TD.

So while losing always sucks, there are some positives that can be taken from it.

Yeah the positives totally out weight the negatives for the phins. Your 100 % right about henne he looked great just not so hot in the red zone with short yardage. They should have given it to Bush on the goal line several times. Just on a toss and not down the middle. Henne actually played with a chip on his shoulder and not like a wet blanket like the defence.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the positives outweigh the negatives by any stretch of the imagination... it was still a bad loss with an embarrassing performance by the secondary. But, there were definitely positives to take out of the game for sure.

when one has as many receivers as Brady does its hard to pick which one to throw it to. The time he had showed that the Dolphins did have excellent coverage on the receivers so it is justified to say they were probably tired of running down-field in pursuit, they may have gotten winded from this? The Patriots secondary looked horrible. Reggie Bush is going to get some good touches as well, with his versatility.

The time that Brady had showed that we were getting absolutely no pressure on him whatsoever... so he had days to stand in the pocket and wait for someone to come open. Our secondary was really getting gassed towards the latter part of the game as well.

You guys definitely need some work on your secondary, that's for sure. Both teams run defense was passable, but our respective secondaries were an embarrassment.

can't expect Haynesworth to be the end all and be all....the Patriots looked gassed as well....I was kind of hoping that Henne would make it a tie game, to see who would have won the track meet. The Patriots showed a lot of flaws in their defense and now we play San Diego and I am sure that Rivers wants to carve our defense apart now...

The secondary for the pats are a young group. Leigh Bodden hasn't played in a year. I think as the season moves forward BB will make the adjustments as he sees fit. Hernandez is underrated for the pats for sure. For a TE he player WR and FB last night. Good to see the pats do what they do best last night. See how it goes with Philip Rivers coming to NE. There is the test for our secondary for sure.
