Adult services censored on Craigslist

You only will laugh at yourself, as there is nothing wrong with it:thumbup

So b/c flame retardant suits have a possibility of malfunctioning a firefighter shouldn't fool himself into thinking his turnout gear is worth a damn when he goes in a fire??? That's about equal footing on the logic of your post, I think. Even if a condom breaks, don't you think you'd have a smaller chance of disease when using one than you would without???

Actually that was part of the point...that local massage parlors were using Craigs List to recruit young girls under the guise of "legitimate" massage and they were being turned into prostitutes and trafficked. It was very eye opening. I always just assumed that the amount of massage parlors we had around our area was normal...but we have over 10 times the number of massage parlors in Macon (population of about 100 thousand) that they have in Washington, DC!!! CRAZY!!!

But closing down Craigslist will only mean they will find new ways of finding warm bodies to fill the parlors with. Its not Craigslist they need to attack, its the businesses that run under false pretences..

Well I didn't go into THAT b/c it's not relevant to the original topic. There was a huge petition circulated and some kind of bill passed to shut down a lot of the massage parlors in Macon. That was shortly after the class I attended.

It was a real eye-opener b/c I guess I kinda always thought of prostitutes as being women who CHOSE to be in that profession (for the most part) and you don't really think about teenage girls or young adult females who are coerced into it by the promise of legitimate work and then forced into prostitution to "repay" the supposed debt these people incurred by getting them trained.

I agree it is an eye opener..

Lets not fool ourselves.. All these things will remain around us and its a big reason why I believe making prostitution legal would take kids out of the equation much more. You can never stop anything 100%, especially at the start, but taking away the risk of anyone going to jail for being with someone underaged will make it that much less attractive to those who want it with few consequences..

We have a similar issue with Escort services here.. Government seems to let it slide for the most part as its the higher end girls that work there.
