I'm definitely pro-choice - it really is up to the woman and the man involved as to whether the baby is kept or not, it's nothing to do with anyone else.

Just gonna throw this in here...
What if a couple..."not some irresponsible slut..who btw is not completely responsible for sexual happenings..keep it ya trousers unless u have a condom", where told that the child she was carrying would die at birth.
Would u think it humane to continue that pregnancy? And cause that child the further ordeal of child birth??

I was almost dead when I was born, because I was a very lazy baby and I was late and I stopped moving.
Can't you just have a C-section if the kid will die at child birth?

I was referring to a medical illness that doctors may be aware of during the pregnancy...that the child would not survive outside of the womb

It's not up to the man at all. No matter how desperately a father may want a child that he helped create to be born and live to have children of his/her own, the woman has full power of the decision. likewise, if he wants the fetus destroyed and the woman doesn't, he's still on the hook for child support. I also disagree that it has nothing to do with anyone else. Decisions like this often impact entire families.

If you want to have an abortion, have a fucking abortion. It's not like the dead baby has ever experienced life so he/she cannot possibly be missing out on anything.

But there's two things I have noticed, number one is that anti abortion groups are all women who are so fugly you wouldn't have sex with any of them with a stolen dick, and also the pro people are all already alive.

That's true, a man can't really decide or force a woman, but he should be able to have a reasonable say.
And true with the family thing again, especially if it is a young girl who is even a dependent herself, she can't support herself.

Now now settle down :p
And it doesn't matter if people are 'fugly'.

It depends entirely on the situation of course. I had a friend who's gf got pregnant by him, didn't tell him and went and had an abortion without telling him too. He was absolutely mortified when she eventually chose to tell him. It should be the decision of both involved.

As for impacting entire families, this is true, but at the end of the day, whether it impacts on other people or not, it's the choice of the two involved.

So would you say it's nothing to do with the man? Even though the potential baby is half his? I don't think the man should be able to force, but he should have an influence.

Yeah, that's what I mean lol :p He can influence her and give his side as to what he thinks should be done, but because it's not his body, he can't fully choose what's gunna be done. It's a 50/50 thing to me (if I was ever in it).

Its an individual choice and every situation is different....but ultimately it will be the woman who is left "holdng the baby" so to speak...she has to carry it for 9 months....and in that time her "supportive at first" partner may decide to take off.....then its too late to do anything

I have seen this happen time after time after time....

And whoever mentioned "he will have to pay child support" for an unwanted kid......:24::24::24:

Not if he doesnt want to he doesnt......oh, the Govt will say he has to....and even attempt to get it from him....but that doesnt alwasy work either.

So....IMO the ULTIMATE choice is up to the mother.

I don't know about 50/50, like you say, it's her body, but he certainly should be involved in the decision.

I just mean that both the father and mother equally say what they want/prefer. But this may depend on the relation of the father to the mother - if the dad doesn't stick around and doesn't want to know the child, would you not consider him?

If the father isn't sticking around then it's really down to the woman I guess.

I am pro choice, but i dont like abortion unless there is a very good reason and the child wont be able to survivie, or if there is no way the parents can take care of the baby or get it adopted. And i would say that its more of a 60-her/40-him. I mean she will have to carry the baby, and most likely take care of it for the most part, and then if she chooses breast feeding that is more responsibility on her. So i think that ultimatley it is the mothers child and it should mostly be her choice with the fathers consultation.

I love how people spout off this stuff about it's the womans body and she can do what she wants with it. We're not talking about aborting the woman, we're talking about aborting a baby.
I also love the double standards of the far left who are against punishing mass murderers with the death penalty but for some strange reason think killing babies is ok.
I also disagree strongly that the man should have no say. It's his baby too. If I got a girl pregnant and she had an abortion against my wishes, she's a complete cunt for killing my child as far as I'm concerned and I could never forgive her.

abortion doesn't equal killing a baby, unless you agree with very late term abortions, which most people don't...
