Yes I know. We're laying out a hypothetical.
A hypothetical about why one can terminate a pregnancy but why one cannot terminate the life of someone who cannot sustain their own life, you mean?

Does it have to be tartare? We Texans are kinda hooked on a good mesquite smoke. If you eat a baby, then your soul becomes young. So I'm strictly pro-abortion, fetus or baby, it doesn't matter, gimme my fountain of youth.

It is a baby IMO when it would be viable on its own.
It is a fetus until that time and there lies the difference for me.
I think a women who has an abortion should be tried the same as if she had killed a born child.Hey Sgt. You seem to be the only pro-lifer still posting here. Maybe you could give me your opinion.
Should it be 15-20 years in prison for a woman who aborts?
Murder is killing which is unjustified. Abortions are unjustified (most of the time), so most of them are murder.Abortion is not murder because it is legal. Therefore it cannot be murder - or else the death penalty would be murder.
Is it pre meditated? Every woman chooses to have an abortion, some chose it willingly, others reluctantly. But it is always a choice. Pre meditation means plan to have an abortion, and many women don't intent on having that abortion until they find that there is something wrong, or they are becoming ill from the pregnancy.
If it was illegal, it would creat so many problems you'd never fix them. Best you can do is keep it legal and educate women and give them free health check ups and perhaps free contraception, and making it cheaper for all to afford would also help.
Sorry if I'm hogging this topic. I debate this issue all day, everyday. No joke, so I can't stay away!
I am about as big of a pro choice supporter as you will find. It is none of my business how a woman I do not know deals with this issue. Until there is a breathing baby it is not killing and is not murder in my view. Do I like the thought of it happening. No. I would like it to not happen. But it is none of my business and I have always felt that it is a fundamental right of a woman to have control over her body and if that right is taken away we no longer are a free society as that would be just the start of the errosion of rights.Question for Alien Allen: So you believe it is ok to kill a baby if it could not survive on its own? What about an unborn baby who could survive on its own - is it ok to kill those ones too?
Fair enough. We just disagree about when a baby is considered "free" then.I am about as big of a pro choice supporter as you will find. no we disagree about what is a babyFair enough. We just disagree about when a baby is considered "free" then.
:homo:That in a nutshell is all that needs to be said:clap:clapI'm pro-choice. It's MY body MY choice and MY decision. Like HELL if some law would tell me something that I can't do with my own body.
I just don't agree with the way it is used as a 'birth control' or a mistake fixer.

well not reallyI believer the death penalty is murder.
well not really
unless you want to argue the legality of the death penalty
murder is the unlawful killing of a human
well it is the topic of this thread. but you are right it has been debated enough. nobody gets their minds changed and then you have some that come in and make flaming comments that are uncalled for. hopefully the latest one that is uncalled for gets nukedWell I do believe that once a semen has got into the egg, that is a human and killing it is murder. Guess this is a debate for another thread though, Christ, it's been done enough times.

You disagree about what is a human.no we disagree about what is a baby
My mother was there for me all throughout my childhood and I really didn't have a father. My mother and my biological father weren't together and my moms boyfriend was a dick and I came out just fine. :thumbdownLegal, everything is a case by case scenario, and I don't believe we have the funds to investigate every case, nor have the right to act as a moral border.
Anyways, if abortion is even considered, what is the chance that that child will become a productive human being.? Sorry if I sound cold, but the root to most of our nation's problems comes down to dead beat Dads and unprepared mothers.
No politician will face that, hence me thinking we are fucked.
