Falklands War

Um..isnt this thread dedicated to those who fought and those who lost there lifes?...or am i missing the point here?
Dont think its really a place for sarcasm....no matter what your opinion is.
Good post.

I have a great deal of respect for my limey cousins. England is my favor vacation and I have a daughter there right now attending college (actually she's in Munich at the moment consuming to much beer at Octoberfest and I'm paying the freight :eek :)). Further considering I was born in England that gives me the moral authority to take a mickey when they pound their chest over military triumphs. ;)

Well, we all have our own opinions strauss..and i wont begin to understand yours. All im saying is, this thread was put here for good intentions....not to be mocked.

But hey what do i know?....

And who the fuck is mocking anyone? I don't have to genuflect every time some one points out a military triumph (and that is what is being done here.....respect or no respect). I acknowledged their victory and pointed out that even the royals joined the battle.
You need to lighten up.

I need to lighten up???:24::24:Ty you made me giggle...re-read this statement and tell me who needs to lighten up??:surrender

the point is strauss........as has been mentioned.......this thread was started to honour the brave, the wounded and the fallen who embarked on a campaign as part of a small task force thousands of miles from home........not to debate military tactics and shortcomings

Thank you, couldn't remember which son served.

"Beat an entire nation"? In this case, that would be the equivalent of being the world's tallest midget.
:D;)

3rd World? I agree, judging whether a country is third world or not is a matter of perspective. From the British point of view I can see you believing that Argentina is a formidable foe.
From the US perspective, its a third world toilet, at best.
:24:
:jk ;)

Offical Notice: This post meets the Strauss standard. Ridicule, demean and then slap a few smileys on it to laugh your way out of it.

And you seem not to read well. I have not debated military tactics nor pointed out any short comings.
