Wook... I'm a landlord that does that too...we have no choice really..the government doesn't allow for us to up rent more than once a year and no more than a little over 1% were I am...so we pay for it all until people are moved out then we can hick the rent as high as we want and get what we've paid for paid off by the new tenant. Sucks I know, but with laws that protect you the tenant and very little to protect us the owners a balance has to made somewhere.

That'd be cool and all if my rent wasn't going up at least $100 every year while I have a leaky roof, a burner on my stove that won't work, a washer/dryer that I have to pay more for that don't work half the time. I could deal with the new apts getting the pretty stuff. They said I could move into one for $150 more a month which I would gladly pay except I don't want the expense of moving. I just want the shit in my crappy old unit to work.
