Real Football (Soccer to you Yanks) Thread

All I have to say right now is fuck CONCACAF... worst fucking federation in the world. The refs are a complete motherfucking joke... ref in the US/Guatemala game handed out 7 yellow cards, two to the same guy but he didn't get sent off... he handed Guatemala their lone goal on a yellow card penalty... because Fabian Johnson put his arm across the Guatemalan's chest and the Guatemalan took a dive (which was the name of the game for them) as a result. God I fucking HATE having wins stolen through absolutely horrendous officiating... just fucking disgusting.

The Premier League have announced the TV rights for the 3 years starting from 2013.

Sky Sports get 116 live games (B - Saturday Evenings, C - Sunday lunchtimes D - Sunday 4pm, E - Monday Nights, F - Saturday Evenings (relating to))

BT - 38 games (A - Saturday lunchtimes. G - Bank Holidays/Midweeks)

Finally, we get rid of ESPN. BT will be interesting.

meanwhile Canada could only tie 0-0 with Honduras, agreed though CONCACAF is a joke

He's known as a regular quitter, he quit Portsmouth for Southampton, took them down, went back to Portsmouth, nearly took them down, left them when they were pretty much fucked, and now quits Spurs.

David Moyes is the favourite to replace him, wouldn't be a bad move for Moyes, but the managerial merry go round is busy this year.

Where might harry go?
Norwich still looking?
Swansea?

I think he'll take a break, the guy's 67 now.

He's done a good job with Spurs, they were bottom when he took over, and are now in the top 5. As good as Spurs have ever been in the Premier League era really. He failed to fully utilise some players (Krancjar, Pienaar, Bentley) but made Spurs into a very good team overall.

Hopefully Modric will piss off too, preferably up to M16.

Maybe he will file his taxes

Let's just turn the rumour mill a little more...

Huw Jenkins is home from holidays tonight, meetings to be held tomorrow, expect speculations all day.
Laudrups #2 guy Martin Laursen has just been fired.
Rafa Benitez was meant to have an interview tonight but suddenly canceled.

Hummmmmmmm.

I have heard that Redknapp is getting a £3m payoff, which after tax comes to £3m.

Moyes would be a good fit for Spurs, I think he's taken them as far as he can, he's built a good team there, one that's tricky to beat but one that's only going so far. With Spurs he can go to that extra level, plus Spurs operate on a strict wage structure and a transfer budget which would suit Moyes because he's used to getting players for good prices. The football Spurs would play under Moyes probably wouldn't be as exciting as it was under Harry, but it might be more effective.
